The apartment was basically fine although the place was unlocked upon arrival with the door ajar. The front door combination was buried in the contract so it was not easy getting into the building. Everything worked ok inside the unit, but we didn't cook there. It was clean, bathroom and shower worked well. And the location was good for us since I was attending a conference at the Washington Hilton only one block away. DuPont Circle is also nearby. Lots of nearby restaurants.
The downsides are that it feels like a transients hotel. We met at the front door some renters from Airbnb who were also having problems with their door lock combinations. Not sure how many owners actually live in this building. Felt like many apartments were short term rentals. Additionally, the corridors and stairways were filthy. Improved some after I complained to management. Ceiling was not well insulated from noise from above so we heard the upstairs tenant walking fairly loudly.
Clean, well stocked, comfortable bed. Great location. Would definitely recommend!
This is a lovely apartment in an older building about 100 years old. Don't let that hold you back. It's not unlike a pre-war in New York, but is nestled on a quiet street of similar buildings and houses. The apartment itself is nicely appointed, comfortable and clean! I had the good fortune to meet the building manager upon my arrival. Arlene kindly helped me get settled and explained the key code mechanism, which saved me a bit of time. She was also kindly on call for questions about the neighborhood food stores, etc. A 10-minute walk takes you to DuPont Circle, and half a block in the opposite direction is the 18th and U Street area with neighborhood cafes and restaurants. This is a keeper for my next visit to D.C. I felt at home away from home!
This was our first time to DC and we had a great time. The apartment is an easy walk to Dupont Station. We had a car for the first evening and last evening we were there and it wasn't difficult to find a parking spot within a few blocks. The description of the apartment was accurate and had all of the amenities described. The living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Arlene was great to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. The neighborhood felt safe and there are lots of food options within a few blocks of the apartment. We really liked "the Diner", "Duccini's Pizza" and the "Regent Thai Cuisine" just to name a few. Our trip was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again!
The apartment is ideally located within easy walking distance of the metro and a variety of eateries.
Choosing to stay here was one of the best travel choices I made. I walked in and was blown away. It looks just like the photos and made me feel comfortable. Everything was clean and in order. The neighborhood was very quiet, and I felt safe throughout my stay.
The apartment really exceeded my expectations. In addition, I'd like to give kudos to the property management staff. They were very professional and accommodating. I highly recommend this property. If possible, I definitely plan to stay here when I visit the DC area again.

Great location on quiet street, yet walk to restaurants, cafes, clubs, and the White House! 1 block to the Hilton Hotel.
Easy walk to Metro Red Line and great bus service.
