About Bandon Historic River House, LLC

We have been drawn to the wonderful town of Bandon for many years. After purchasing property outside of Bandon and subsequently spending greater amounts of time in the area we seized the opportunity to purchase the River House when it became available. We love spending time in Bandon and hope to retire here in the near future.

Wonderful, comfortable historic house

  • 5 of 5

Our family group of 6 adults of all ages (aged 35 to75) stayed at the River House for a week in January 2017. The downstairs 2 bedroom with shared bath suite worked well for one family member who could not manage stairs. There were plenty of bedrooms for us all and large common areas. The house is historic with tall ceilings and centrally located on the Coquille River in Old Town Bandon so we could walk to restaurants and shops and enjoy the view of the river and light house. It offered a well-equipped kitchen and all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We mainly used the kitchen for breakfast and ate other meals out at nearby restaurants. We loved walking the beautiful beaches in Bandon.

Just what I hoped!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location and home to gather almost all of our kids and grandkids to celebrate my birthday. Grew up in Bandon, so I knew we wanted to be near old town. Within walking distance to shops, restaurant and docks. Old house full of charm and character. Impeccably clean. Lots of open spaces for chatting, eating, playing games.

Great eclectic house

  • 4 of 5

The house made our vacation in Bandon unforgettable! The open floor plan is great, the only downside was that the king size bed upstairs has no privacy and you can hear everything that's said in the house from there as well. There wasn't a lot of toilet paper and it was super thin, so bring your own! It was a great spot to fish and we rented crab pots and caught our limit! The surrounding beaches were great to walk on! There's a bunch of beaches just a short walk or drive away. The house is being restored and has great touches. There's a table full of rocks that guests who have stayed at the house have signed. The huge living area and dining room and kitchen are amazing!

Owner's Response: PLEASE!! Do not bring thick cottony TP. We have a very fragile plumbing system, and of course it is very unfriendly to the environment.

We really enjoyed this house. It has lots of unique charm as only an old histric building can. We enjoyed being close to old town and walking to the shops and the harbor and just down the block to the farmers market on Friday and Saturday.

Cook in for a large group was easy with a well equiped kitchen and lots of room for.

And the owners were great to work with. Thanks for the great time!

Spacious and comfortable.....

  • 5 of 5

We have visited Bandon often as my boys grew up. Now they are grown and spread out across the United States, we wanted to revisit. This house overlooks the bay, where we could watch as members of our family crabbed in our boat. The views from the many windows were spectacular. Evenings were spent playing games around the large table in the kitchen/living area or outside by the firepit enjoying the flames and sound of the waves. The rooms were large and very nice, having a bed as well as a sitting area. There are interesting pieces of artwork and small touches and trinkets that are continually catching your eye and adding whimsy to the whole house. There is everything you need as far as cooking utensils and the whole house is very clean. It is a bit rustic, but in a most enjoyable way. It is very close to the downtown area and also the jetty is easy walking distance. Absolutely love this place and will definitely stay here again in the near future.
