Unique and awesome!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bandon Historic River House. The house is full of charm and has lots of room for guests. We really enjoyed learning the history of the former business that has been converted to a unique rental home. We definitely will recommend this home to other families.

A stunning home, wonderful location, and beautiful experience!

  • 5 of 5

I was born in Langlois, Oregon, not far from this Bandon, Oregon historic home. I'm intimately familiar with the town of Bandon, but still it felt like seeing the town with fresh eyes when we stayed in this historic river house. We learned more of Bandon's history, and thoroughly enjoyed walking to restaurants, cafes, shops, Second Street Gallery, and the farmer's market a few doors down. My siblings and I and our children gathered at the home and created truly wonderful memories around a bonfire in the backyard, throwing rocks into the river, watching the birds throughout the day and looking for sea lions. We watched hopefully for orcas, but perhaps another time we'll have better luck. The house had all we could possibly need and felt like a temporary home from the start. The owners were lovely to work with and we had no issues at all! We'll hope to stay here again one day!

Roomy place close to Old Town shopping.

  • 4 of 5

The Bandon River House isn't real fancy but suited our purpose perfectly for a family gathering away from home. It is within walking distance from great shopping and restaurants or provides a full kitchen for preparing meals. We watched the fishing boats from the windows and visited the old light house, flew kites on the beach and stopped at the Safari Zoo on the way back home.

Coming back for more!

  • 5 of 5

The home is beautifully decorated and clean. It truly feels like coming home after a day on the dock or beach. The spaciousness greets you when the door is opened, great natural lighting, beautiful hardwood floors. The kitchen has most everything a cook would need. The fireplace is a cozy warm up to the day, sitting on the couch and watching fisherman on the river. Master bedroom is large with comfortable seating arrangements. The 2 adjoining rooms are perfect for children. The spa tub in master bath must not be overlooked, go ahead, slip in and watch the river. The 2 bedrooms on the first floor are spacious with nice decorative touches. Linens and towels are well maintained and clean. Full size washer/dryer are hidden under the stairway. We went as a couple, however there is plenty of room for a large group. It is pet friendly for well mannered owners. Dog towels are great for a quick dry after a beach run. We served dinner for 20, utilizing the table and seating at the bar. There are table pads in the laundry room to protect the table top while playing games. Outside the back door are stairs leading to the river. Rock searchers will love this area. There is seating and a fire pit. Fishermen wave while you explore. Easy walk to Old Town Bandon and crabbing on the dock. Short drive to the beach. I can't say enough good things about our stay. Thank you Amy and Karen for your warm hospitality.
