Richard & Sheryl Reiss purchased this house in 2013
When scouting out our new home near Warwick, we were drawn to the picturesque Greenwood Lake. East Shore Road goes south along the river where fly fishermen can often be seen and cyclist abound. The mountain lakes area is New Jersey best kept secret.
The first words out of visitors mouths are often, "Wow, what a view!"
Every day as we drives to Patterson, Wallkill, Warwick and Brooklyn we had beautiful mountains, lakes, streams and rivers to enjoy. Loved the location of the home. We did the hiking trail and was hoping to see a bear, while in the car not on the trail, but none spotted!😊 Loved the kitchen, dining room and living room lay out, it was perfect for us.
This property was clean with a well stocked kitchen and open floor plan. Gorgeous views of the lake, close to hiking and nice deck. The only issues we had was that the ice maker and water dispenser on the fridge didn't work, and the stove didn't want to light at first (it started working after we used a match the first time). The fire pit was a nice added perk!
We had a family of 7 and it worked great. We were able to cook our meals, enjoy the view, while everyone had plenty of room to be comfortable. Would definately recommend to anyone
After visiting the engine room/ heart of Jehovah's visible organisation at Warwick, Wallkill & Patterson and taking in the graduation of the 142nd class of Gilead on Saturday, March 11, as a family of 7, we were absolutely delighted to spend two nights with Richard, Sheryl & Andrew. Despite the blizzard-like conditions, the 20 inches of snow overnight, we had such great fun just relaxing in the comforts of the home with the log fire burning. The scenery of the lake is spectacular. To all of those who have booked their accommodation here in the months ahead to visit the new WHQ, you are in for a treat, literally, as you will no doubt be greeted with some lovely baked brownies on arrival, as we were. Thanks, Sheryl. Also, thanks goes to Richard, Andrew & their team who cleared the pathway and dug our transport out of the snow before we departed Wednesday morning for our trip back to Danbury and then onto NY. Hope to meet up again some day. Much appreciated. Warm Christian love. The Happy Hurley Household.
The stay was excellent, we had 2 weeks in February with snow and loved the location. The hosts were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us . We enjoyed visiting Warwick and Skiing at the local complex.
We will definitely be returning in the future!
Thank you Again,
I went there last week for second time. This house was even cleaner and updated with some new furniture. The owner put the fire on the fireplace it was great for us when it was so cold outside. Second day, Sheryl advise me to visit the state park just cross the street. It was amazing that it was snowing day and walking just a mile walk with children made everybody happy. We also use that park road for sledding, you don't have to go anywhere else. it was beautiful memory perfect winter trip for us. Thank you Richard, Sheryl. See you this fall again.
