Well-kept, historic, Victorian era 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment in the heart of the city. Same family owners and management for 20+ years. Easy access to local eateries, bars, and all manner of services, stores. Minutes from the capital; 8 blocks East of downtown Denver. You can walk, take the bus, or use a b-cycle to explore downtown and its surrounding neighborhoods. Easy access to Denver's bike trails too.

The apartment has polished hardwood floors, all new area rugs, linens, and kitchen ware. The kitchen and bathroom are bright and clean. One off street parking spot for your convenience.

The apartment has 1 queen bed in the bedroom; and a full-size fold out sofa in the living room. Therefore, the apartment can sleep up to 4 persons.

There is lots to see and explore in the area. The mountain foothills are only 30 minutes away. You can get to a ski area in 75 minutes.

Charming place close to downtown Denver

Stayed here with two colleagues during a conference and the location was fantastic. It was about a 20 minute walk to the hotel where our meetings were. From there public transit throughout the downtown area was straightforward and free! The home itself is super charming, and perfect for a short stay. Margrette was very quick at responding and gave us great directions for accessing the place and everything we needed. The bathtub is an old style claw foot tub, so I wouldn't recommend this place to older folks or those who have trouble stepping in and out of that type of tub as it did seem a bit tight and could be dangerous when wet if you weren't careful. It was fine for three women in their late 20s - early 30s though!

Instructions for direction, parking, codes etc. were very good. Very disappointed that we did not have our own thermostat to control our temperature. First night was very hot. Central thermostat was fixed the following day. Shower was disappointing. Old fashion tub with curtain and no mixing valve hard to regulate the temperature.

Awesome!

I loved this little spot! There's so many places to check out that are just a couple blocks away on Colfax. If you don't mind the walk, downtown has a lot to offer as well! Overall my stay at the little blue house on 18th ave. was great! I'd also like to extend a huge thank you to Margrette Castro for being great management! She's very nice and very quick to respond to any questions you may have.

Quaint and Urban

My husband and I visited Denver for a two weeks. We chose the property for its price, location and proximity to an area/yoga studio we were planning to visit daily. The Blue Building met our needs for a clean kitchen and comfortable bed. In spite of the city noises and emergency vehicles passing by throughout the night we slept well with the window air conditioner on. Restaurants and grocery/markets were within walking distance distance which provided healthy eating options, too.

The antique claw tub/shower arrangement met my needs but my husband preferred to use the shower at the yoga studio.

We could hear the neighbors around us but only during day time hours.

We enjoyed our stay.

Very comfortable and clean!

I really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It was convenient to downtown Denver and it felt very cozy and homey. It was quiet and clean and perfect for what I was looking for. Margrette was a wonderful hostess and very helpful!
