About Hope & Rennie Innis
We are recently retired and love the idea of having this wonderful room to share with people. Rennie was a cabinet maker, a teacher, and then a software developer, and Hope was a bookstore owner, and then a property manager. We love to travel, especially when warm water is involved! Although we have traveled many places, it is always a pleasure to arrive back home.
Hope & Rennie Innis purchased this Tower in 1989
Why Hope & Rennie Innis chose Mendocino
Wonderful locals. Quirky and historic community.
What makes this Tower unique
Located adjacent to the 89,000 acre Jackson State Forest, we are surrounded by Nature. We love the quiet, and that we get 30 sunny days more than the folks in the nearby village of Mendocino. The village is just a 5 minute drive away.

This VBRO was great. Probably one of the best VBRO I’ve stayed at. Located in the forest area of Mendocino, it was super quiet and relaxing. The host had everything well organized, super clean and romantic. The host gave us suggestions on local events and eateries. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Fort Bragg.
Back to nature
We were greeted by Rennie just as we arrived. He gave us a thorough review of all the wonderful amenities of he and his wife, Hope’s, lovely Airbnb. You can see and appreciate the many hand made qualities this place has to make your stay feel like you were in a place that was certainly established with lots of TLC. Located on the lower level, the calm setting of the very large bathroom with a perfectly sized hot tub for two and a lovely spacious vanity made from wood used to make guitars, was adorned with just about every toiletry item you would need. An outdoor staircase then takes you up to the bedroom. Walking in this room makes you feel like you just were transported to the center of a sunflower! Rennie meticulously has suspended a parachute above the bed with a cluster of flowers in the middle. It was such an amazing site. The bedroom windows look out to majestic evergreens that surround the property. If you are looking for a place that brings you back to nature, this is the place for you!
The attention to detail at this property was exceptional, all with a peaceful intention. The surroundings were visually impressive composed of beautiful grounds and gardens. It was quiet and everything was clean yet welcoming. Great emphasis was placed on a smooth stay from beginning to end. Many comforts of home were provided and we were able to completely relax and rest during our stay. We feel like we lucked out choosing this lovely place and would certainly book it again.
we had a great time. it was very easy to get to the surrounding areas demo where its located
Road Trip Pit-stop
My husband and I stayed here one night while on a coastal road trip. This place went above and beyond our expectations. The room was cozy and comfortable and we very much enjoyed the hot tub. Waking up to the redwood trees surrounding us was so peaceful and beautiful. Mendocino was a quick drive where we watched the sunset and enjoyed the town. Wish we had stayed and extra night!
Awesome place to relax
My fiancé and I had a great time there the amount of time and effort the owners have put into making our stay as carefree and relaxed was extremely appreciated
When you arrive, please do not park in the driveway. You may park close to the Barn (on the east side of the house). On the side of the Barn, you will see a white sign saying 'Please Park Here'. There is an outside, motion-activated security camera focused on your vehicle, and pointing away from the upstairs bedroom. The entrance to your rooms is located on the side of the house, look for two green doors, and a small wooden deck/porch. If you are facing the barn, this will be to your left. The light will come on automatically if you arrive after dark. The key is located in a very small bucket, on door frame to the right of the entry door.
