Beautiful Log Cabin On 60 Acres - A Spring Flows By Cabin, Into The White River
- English, English as a second language-I interpret well.
About Marilyn Einspanier
I live 2 miles from White River Retreat, at a resort which I co-own/operate with my former spouse. My two sons, aged 19 and 15, are a joy to watch grow into young men. Four newfoundland mixed breed dogs are a part of my life. The vacations that stay with you throughout the year are ones that allow you to recharge your energy and allow you to view your life's blessings and obstacles from a different perspective.
Marilyn Einspanier purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Marilyn Einspanier chose Mason
As I live locally, I have known about this cabin, with the spring flowing through the grounds and the White River flowing by the cabin, for years. I fell in love with it when I saw it for the first time, visiting friends who owned it. Recently it became available for sale and I chose to take it on as my responsibility, believing that others would find it as beautiful and want to rent it. I own/operate a lodge/cabin rental business located 2 miles away. Owning/renting White River Retreat has been second nature for me, given my background.
What makes this Cabin unique

Property as advertised. Marylin is a great host
Our group came back after experiencing a perfect trip last year. Another perfect stay was had by all! The property is beautiful and we enjoyed our time right at the cabin as well as kayaking at the nearby lodge. Delta dinner is super close and you won’t find that kind of amazing food in the more touristy areas. The other wonderful thing is that we were less than an hour from bayfield where we caught the ferry to spend an adventurous day on Madeline island. Also Marilyn is a top-notch host!
This cabin was the perfect spot for our friend vacation/reunion. Our main goal was to catch up with each other and get away from our busy lives. The cabin offers plenty of spaces to be together or to spread out, and the remote location really assisted in unplugging. We did go to Bayfield for an evening, but otherwise we hung around the cabin and loved it!
Peace and quiet and open air!
Big house on private land, sounds of the stream trickling and the birds singing. A perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. We stay put, walking the gravel road multiple times a day, and gravel biking, right from the house. A bonus this week was it has air conditioning, whereas we usually spend our whole time on the screened porch, it was good to get some respite indoors. Delta Diner around the corner, baked goods in Ashland, and museum visit and shopping in Cable if folks want to venture out. It is truly a retreat at the White River Retreat!
Lively cabin in the woods
We, including 3 adults and 2 kids, enjoyed our stay here very much. The cabin is decorated with characters. It’s clean and comes with all kitchenware you expect to have. We also used the kayaks and boats at the Delta Lodge which is a big bonus. Marilyn, the owner, was very kind and friendly and gave good directions. We would love to go back again in the future.
This is a unique area which includes the Chequamegon National Forest and lakes and streams within 60 miles of Bayfield, WI, the gateway city to the Apostle Islands and one of many villages which offer access to Lake Superior.
The cabin is in the southern portion of the Lake Superior basin, approximately 50 miles southwest of Bayfield. The area is named “Delta” as several of the lakes and springs form the headwaters of the White River. Gently rolling forested hills dotted with lakes are characteristic of this picturesque area, centrally located between Iron River and Drummond.
The beauty of the area has drawn tourists and residents for many years, arguably thousands of years.
