The accommodation surrounded by an extensive garden (7000m²) with lush green Oleander bushes, bougainvillea, cactus, pine and palms is found just a few meters away from the sea, with private access to the beach. The Villa has spacious living areas in its beautiful location, which is well-divided and furnished with rustic furniture. On warm summer evenings we suggest enjoying delicious dinner in the patio that lies in the garden (with grill) in the open or directly in the two extended patios with sea view. This maritime portrait enchants with its colors and fragrances year-round (winter temperature is often around 20°C). It is the ideal tourist destination for those who like the privacy it offers: You can sit and enjoy there (patio, garden) peacefully or relish the sun and nature at the beach throughout the year, visit cultural, artistic and historic attractions nearby.
Beaches, archaeology, baroque towns and nature: Noto is the undisputed capital of Sicilian baroque and with its masterpieces (which were recently declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a must-visit for any traveler in Sicily. If you stay here, you also have the chance to visit the untamed southeastern parts of Sicily and its noteworthy cultural and natural heritages, as well as the most beautiful beaches of the island, of which we would like to mention Eloro, Marchesa, Cala Moshe and Cittadella (in the nature reserve of Vendicari). That is, if you have more time, there are so many baroque towns to visit in the surrounding area, like Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Scicli and naturally the islands 'Ortigia', historic old town and heart of modern Syracuse, one of the most beautiful cities on the Mediterranean, known for its ancient ruins: Katakombe and Greek theatre. Also the caves of Ispica, the canyon of the river Cassibile... to name just a few of the tourist attractions.
Further details on the surroundings: - 500 m from an untouched wild beach (Pizzuta beach), along the magnificent nature reserve 'Vendicari', ideal for walking and swimming.
- 1 km from home you can find the small seaside resort Lido di Noto. It has a promenade with cafes, ice cream parlors and a beautiful beach.
- 10 km from the mosaics on the floors of the Roman villa Tellaro;
- 20 km from the fishing / yacht harbor of Marzamemi, a picturesque fishing village with a beautiful boulevard, good restaurants and shops with local products.
The other towns of the Sicilian baroque: Palazzolo (37 km), Scicli (49 km), Ragusa Ibla (57 km) and Modica (44 km), famous for their baroque architecture and their houses, which are known to have been excavated from the limestone region. Ragusa is a fantastic destination for beach lovers, because of its infinite golden sandy beaches.
Pantalica (60 km) is one of the large necropolises in Sicily since 2005 declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Other places of interest: Other tourist attractions: within 100km are Catania, the second most important city of Sicilia, and Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Catania is a rich, diverse city with an artistic spirit; many Sicilian painters, actors and musicians were born here. The Nature Park of Etna definitely deserves the supremacy in this regard, since the spectacle of an eruption at one of its crater is simply irresistible. Taormina (140 km) lies further north on the east coast of Sicilia, nestled high above on the sea on the cliffs. Many famous writers and artists (including Goethe, Maupassant, Houel) have expressed their interest in this delightful town and its scenic beauties...
... We suggest that you spend your vacation for at least two weeks in this part of Sicilia – it is hardly enough to visit all the beautiful places in this area… not to mention the ultimate cuisine!
