The bedroom has a queen bed, large closet and dresser storage. Bathroom has a large walk-in shower, (and hair dryer). Towels and all linens are provided.

You will enjoy the breathtaking beauty of our scenic Bristol Hills region on your four mile drive to historic downtown Naples. There you can enjoy our famous Fall arts and craft festivals, wineries, antique shops, local artisan shops, live theater, unique restaurants and of course have a taste of our famous grape pies.
After a day of enjoying the many local attractions, you can take a relaxing walk through my woods or sit around the fire pit. A gas grill is also available for your use.
Some of the area activities you can enjoy, within minutes of downtown Naples, include boating on Canandaigua Lake (rentals are available), lake side dining, hiking state and county park trails, golfing, downhill and cross country skiing.
You could also visit nearby towns (20 - 30 minutes away), to tour the Curtis Airplane Museum in Hammondsport, or beautiful Keuka Lake. In Canandaigua, visit the Sonnenberg Gardens, Historic Museums, or the unique shops in the Historic Downtown area. The Culinary Arts Center is also a popular attraction. There is no end to the things to do and there is no other area with such spectacular scenery, especially the Fall foliage!
My family moved to the Naples when I was10 years old and I have been here ever since then. I went to school in Naples, got married and raised my children here. I have lived in this house for 50 years. I am now retired and have this big house so rather than downsizing, I decided to open the apartment up to travelers and vacationers. I thought that would be more interesting than just renting it out as a regular rental unit.
I am a "homebody" by heart and enjoy my yard and gardens, refinishing furniture, reading, crocheting and sewing. I spend a lot of time with my granddaughter, next door, teaching her some of these crafts.
I am a "people person" and so I do volunteer work at the local historical society and library. This gets me out of the house and spend time with friends and neighbors.
Touring antique shops is also one of my favorite things to do. I have several collections that I can add to when I stumble across a great find. My biggest collections are of tea pots, thimbles and old umbrellas.
Yvonne Drake purchased this apartment in 1965
I love old houses with a history and this house has been in the family for three generations. At one time it was a turkey farm, famous for it's White Holland Turkeys. The original part of this house is said to be about 200 years old. It is one of those old farm houses that has had many additions over the years, that makes it so unique. We moved her when my children were very small, as a temporary home, while we planned to build a new home. Well, I just fell in love with this old place and never wanted to leave. It sure did need a lot of fixing and took many years, but it was worth it.
After my children were grown, I had a portion of the house divided for the apartment, where my Mother lived for 16 years. She so enjoyed the peaceful quiet and privacy of the apartment that I am sure you will as well.
I keep mentioning how peaceful and private it is here, that you may wonder about that as you drive up and see that we are located on a state highway. However, that just makes it more convenient as you travel to and from town! Yes, we do have some traffic, but once you enter the apartment, or enjoy the back yard, you do not hear any of that.
The view from the large living room window is like looking at a painting of trees along a creek bank. The creek runs along the apartment side of the house, so when you open the windows you can listen to your own water feature.
The view from the bedroom window overlooks the back yard and flower gardens and the woods beyond. You are welcome to enjoy a stroll along the path that runs through my woods. I sometimes take a sandwich and a book and stay awhile. You can always find a good log or stone wall to sit on and enjoy the quiet.
After a busy day of doing the touristy things, you are welcome to lounge on the back deck and watch the birds as they settle in for the evening. Or you may want to set around the fire pit and relax with a nightcap.
Clean, private, convenient to Naples, quiet.
We enjoyed our stay very much!
Clean cozy warm inviting would definitely rebook! Thank you!
My husband and I just stayed here last weekend- it was a picture perfect weekend and just want we needed- relaxation! Yvonne was an amazing host- she knows all the places to go (and NOT to go!) and gave us great suggestions.
We were welcomed with a hug and a locally homemade grape pie- it doesn't get much better than that!
The cottage is only 4 miles outside of Naples- which we went to a lot, but is centrally located- we never drove for more than 30 minutes and every drive was breathtakinly beautiful!!
Couldn't suggest Yvonne or Naples enough- my husband and I can't wait to go back !
Great, quiet location. Close to the town of Naples for restaurants etc. Yvonne was the perfect hostess; she made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on her new patio and loved trying the grape pie. We Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a warm, friendly, economical, and casual place to stay.
A quiet country escape perfect for a weekend get-away. Owner met us at door with homemade dessert for our breakfast. Spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen, super soft bedroom sheets, all the comforts of home. Wish we had more time to spend in the area so it is must to go back and rent again. Did I mention every room clean!!
Yvonne was spectacular! She provided us a quiet, clean and easy access efficiency apartment for our stay. You will find lots of brochures on places to see, eat and enjoy during your visit. In fact she kept us so busy we only were there to sleep. The in town theatre was awesome. The hike to Grimes Glenn was astounding. Ate at the Hotel of Naples, Redwood Restaurant, purchased wine at Moore's, stopped at the Farm Market and ate breakfast up the road. We also walked in the woods behind her house! I would love to come back in the future. Thanks Yvonne for sharing!
