Darling riverfront, 3 bdrm, sleeps 6. Spectacular Riverfront Property

Why Owner chose Morrisville
Historic Bucks County! Our neighborhood is called Morris heights, or The Graystones. At Graystones, located at what is now the borough’s northeast corner at Crown Street and Highland Avenue, William Penn met with members of the Lenape Indian tribe under a white oak tree in 1682 to negotiate the first land-purchase survey in Pennsylvania. The site was named after the extraordinary outcropping of gray bedrock which protrudes from the ground at the northwest end of the site, this guest house is built on this outcropping of stone! We are steeped in history here. This is probably one of the most unique back deck properties up or down the Delaware River! You will leave refreshed and inspired. Hot summer, dip in the river; fall, enjoy the leaf peeping; winter, cross country ski on the canal path. All seasons offer any visitor a beautiful stay...we knew we would live here before we even stepped out of our car.

Very nice home
Hope to come back next year!
What an idyllic place! We all loved this beautiful home and its charming, wooded location in view of the river and in reach of Grounds for Sculpture, the Golden Nugget flea market, and Honey restaurant. Everything a guest could ever need was there, and Judith had suggestions for restaurants and activities. We loved the fire pit on the deck, and saw a buck on the hill one morning. A+ stay!
This is a lovely property located right on the Delaware River and canal. We had family visit us, we went kayaking and had evening fires outside. Great view.
Excellent! This house is beautifully furnished and decorated - it's age gives it character you don't find in newer homes. It is the perfect blend of old and new. Everything was clean and pretty! The little details throughout the house make it unique. The outside patio with fire pit is where we spent evenings and it is ideal! Judy was so great to deal with - reservations, check in and check out were so easy. As an unexpected bonus and sweet gesture, she brought us delicious sticky buns for our first morning - such a nice surprise!
The location is great - view of the river, woodsy feel and close to lots of cool places to explore and visit.
We highly recommend this rental and hope to return!
Excellent stay for a family getaway near Philly
We were visiting from NYC with 3 small children (5,4,3), grandparents, and our nanny. Judy welcomed us with fresh baked banana bread, cold drinks in the fridge, and basics for breakfast. Judy lives next door and was available for any questions we had and to set up the private internet for us. She is a gracious host and respects your privacy - it is up to you how much you want to ask her.
The house is close to grocery stores and dining options, but has everything to cook if you want. It is also stocked with a great selection of wine so you don't even need to leave! The Italian dining and the Jehan Kebab house were both excellent!
We mainly came to do day trips into Philly area and Sesame Place while enjoying a nice house in the "country" with privacy and character. I did not want to stay in another city or a cookie cutter house. This home met all expectations. I love all the details that Judy put into the home. There are books, toys and games for kids and adults, which distracted my kids plenty while we were getting settled.
The home is located 10 mins from Sesame Place and about 40 mins to most kid/family attractions in Philly. The front yard is nice and flat for kids to play and they loved the fireflies at night (but use bug spray for the mosquitos!)
I would have loved to enjoy the back yard more and the deck, but after a day out we were too tired to sit out. The back stone patio/deck is also has a relatively low retaining wall and a steep rock cliff (which we were informed about although not shown clearly in the photos) so we decided to keep kids away from this area. It is a wonderful spot for adults or older children/teens who won't climb on the retaining wall. Judy has even stocked the house with makings for s'mores in the fire pit!
Another note on staying with younger kids or older parents - the bathrooms and bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. If you are worried about the staircase, there is one child gate at top to use.
Overall, I would highly recommend staying here and we'd love to come back again.
(Note: we were able to stay comfortably bc kids are small and Judy was nice enough to accommodate extra guests after grandparents decided to come - but I would not recommend going over 6 person guests)
Lovely home in great location!
