One Charleston Place is a unique beachfront community in the most desirable location on St. George Island. Conveniently located in the center of the island, just steps from dining, shopping, and activities, you also get access to a gated, private pool shared with just 4 other homes in One Charleston Place. A private boardwalk is just steps to the beach.

With hardwood floors throughout, multiple private decks, flat screen TVs, WiFi and more, One Charleston Place offers all the best amenities!

The main floor features spacious open concept kitchen, living, and dining areas. Modern, fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops. Convenient powder room on main floor. Step out onto your deck over looking the pool .

The 2nd floor features 2 bedrooms, both with private, en suite bathrooms and cable-equipped flat screen televisions. The master bedroom features a king bed. From here, step directly onto your very own private balcony with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico. The second bedroom is outfitted with 2 twin beds. Laundry, with full size washer and dryer, is also conveniently located on this floor.

On the 3rd floor, there is another king-sized bed with private, en suite bathroom. This room also features cable-equipped flat screen television. Sorry NO pets!!!!

Wow! The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need!

I've been meaning to write this review but life has been crazy. That was the reason we rented this home in the first place. It is decorated beautifully, has everything you need to cook amazing meals, has killer ocean views. It is on the ocean with a pool right in front of the house. Not to mention that Lori is so easy to work with. She answered all of my questions and was warm and friendly. The house is close to everything but you are in your own little oasis. I can't say enough to convey how wonderful it was. If you are reading this review because you are looking for a home away from home then stop your search.....you have found it!

What a great place

My wife, our 2 boys, and the in-laws decided to give St George and One Charleston Place a try. What a great decision! The home is beautiful and decorated perfectly! Plenty of room for all of us, and enough room to find a quiet place for yourself. The view of the pool and beach is fantastic! Access to the beach is just a few steps. The water and sand were perfect.

St George is laid back and the place to go if you don't like the typical crowed Florida getaway. Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance.

Writing this makes me wish I were there!!! We will return.

Love One Charleston Place - House was perfect, convenient walking distance to everything and great pool to relax. Owner was responsive and helpful. Definitely the best place to stay on the island!!!

When can we go back?!

Fantastic place on a fantastic island.

The property was just what we (family of 5) were looking for. The house was beautifully and comfortably decorated in pristine shape. The kitchen was a dream to cook in (great appliances and all the tools you need to cook any/everything). It is a FANTASTIC house down to even the towels! The shared pool and beach are both steps away and lovely. The beach is so close, I was comfortable letting my 7 and 8 year olds go back to the house alone (I could see them the entire way).

The house is also in a great location on the island. It's within walking distance to the markets, ice cream, restaurants, lighthouse and playground. It's also right by the parking area where the fish guy comes to sell his fresh seafood, local farms come to sell their produce and the snow cone guy parks.

The owners were great! Quick to respond and full of great advice!

We had a great week there and will hopefully be returning soon. I really can't recommend this property and island strongly enough.

Very comfortable holiday house

We stayed for 11 nights in Feb/March. I chose it because it was non smoking, and no pets. Also we had rented a nearby house a few years ago, and liked the location.

The house had been recently redecorated and so everything was in first class condition. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything was new, or nearly new, so no chipped plates on arrival (and departure!). Spotlessly clean on arrival. The WiFi worked well

The (shared) swimming pool is well maintained, but not heated. My wife did (bravely) have several swims in it. There is a very nice area around the pool with sun loungers making it nice place to sit and read. The beach is golden sand for many miles in each direction, and being out of season was very quiet.

St George Island was quiet, but does have a grocery store housing a very good butcher.

The owner made contact (via e-mail) and helped with any questions we had.

We had a very enjoyable, relaxing time on the island. Would happily stay in the same house again.

Relaxed, Uncrowded Beach & Superb Beachfront House!!

This was our first time to St. George Island and we found it to be the idyllic relaxing, uncrowded island we were hoping for. And the Charleston development is a unique, quaint beachfront small development (5 houses) with its own private beachfront pool. This Unit ("E") is an exceptional beach house, well-maintained and with an extremely functional floor plan suitable for either a couple or up to six people. Each bedroom has a private bathroom and the Master BR has an exceptional beachfront view covered porch overlooking the private pool and a panorama view of the beach. The second Master BR (top floor) also has excellent beach views. Both Master BR's had high quality, firm mattresses for restful sleeping.

The kitchen is spacious with granite counters and the owner thoughtfully provides a Keurig coffeemaker stocked with a broad sampling of started coffee pods. The living room is comfortably furnished, has satellite television, and music/video players with an adjoining covered porch overlooking the swimming pool and the ocean.

One Charleston Place is ideally located in the center of the island next to the Island's focal point Lighthouse Park. The park is a well-maintained small public park with a children's playground and the Lighthouse is an interesting tourist attraction with its museum and climbing tours to the top of the lighthouse.

On the other side of One Charleston Place is arguably the best seafood restaurant on the island (Blue Parrot). It is certainly the only one that is beachfront with extensive outdoor deck seating overlooking the ocean. It was extremely convenient to walk next door to dinner most nights, although the Island certainly has several other good restaurants.

With both sides of One Charleston Place being small commercial areas, the One Charleston Place beach is virtually private and exclusive, certainly not crowded. The ocean there is extremely clean with a visible bottom for 40-50 yards out, so excellent for ocean fun.

Furthermore, one of St. George Island's better beach features is its lack of any high-rise resort buildings so therefore much less crowded beaches.

This Unit "E" of One Charleston Place had just gone under new ownership prior to our stay and the new owners were exceptionally accommodating and communicative to ensure that everything about our stay was up to excellent standards. And they deliver that!

We will definitely return to SGI in the near future and Unit E will be our preferred lodging choice.
