This is a basement apartment. Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay. There was no shortage of hot water which had happened often enough at other places that I have stayed at. I will definitely recommend staying at this place.
Great stay! very comfortable and roomie
owner was very accommodating and made our stay a great experience.
My fiancé and I stayed for 5 days. Overall the place was nice. However I have stayed a few places on homeaway. I didn't like that they only had 1 pot to cook and only paper plates to eat along with plastic spoons no forks. I would suggest having more pots and pans along with real plates and silverware. The other thing that I didn't like, al though we spent much of our time site seeing. They had a dog that barked a lot at night and it was very noisy. All I heard were foot running back in forth, dog barking. I would not stay again. Also they had shampoo and conditioner bottles but the empty only for display. Other that that it was anice place but if you have to rent more than 5 days you should have plates and pots in case your client wants to cook. Not everyone eats out.
I was a bit disappointed. Ive used home away from home before and they all have had clean linen, towels, pots pans, dinning ware and eating itensils. there was none of the above here I had to purchase all of the above. other than that the place was ok.
Great Place to Stay!
This was a great place to stay, close to public transportation and everything that we needed.
I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore the area, the price is great and the place is just right.
Thank you for having us :)
This property was in a convenient location for me that's why we picked it. Overall it was pretty decent, fresh paint throughout the apartment, separate entrance and the fridge was stocked with beverages for a small fee. We did notice two roaches the first night. I contacted the owner about it and he apologized and offered to refund the rest of the stay. We decided to stick it out because it would've been too difficult to find another place at such short notice. Maybe the bugs came from outside the house because there was minor work being done around the area. We never saw anymore bugs after those two. There is street parking, but you have to get there real early or you'll have to park a couple of blocks away. I'd actually stay here again.
Richmond Hill is a racially and culturally integrated urban neighborhood in southwestern Queens County, a borough of New York City. It abuts Kew Gardens (North), Jamaica (East), Ozone and South Ozone Park (South), and Woodhaven (West). The neighborhood is split between Queens Community Board 9 and 10. Main commercial streets in the neighborhood include Jamaica Avenue, Atlantic Avenue and Liberty Avenue; Richmond Hill is home to a density of Christian churches (both major denominations and storefront), Sikh centers, Hindu temples, Jewish synagogues and mosques.
Richmond Hill is known as Little Guyana, for its large Guyanese immigrant population, as well as Little Punjab, for its large Punjabi immigrant population; however, its demographics as of the 2010 Census are 30% Hispanic, 28% Asian, 23% White and 15% Black.
Many residents own their own homes, and some rent out apartments in them. There are also some small apartment buildings. Commercial strips along Jamaica and Liberty Avenue contain mixed use buildings. Atlantic Avenue is commercial. A Long Island Railroad spur and yard provides freight access for business at Jamaica Avenue and Lefferts Blvd.
