we purchased this property in 2009 and moved the carpenters shop down to the water wherea prior permit was about to expire. We changed out most of the windows in order to maximize water and tree views. Adding a wooden stove and bio electric heating. The master builders used traditional craftman designs in installation of fir trim. Additional thought went into the swedish finished flooring. The main IPE deck makes for a wonderful indoor outdoor gathering spot and when the doors are opened up enlarges the home for it's open living.

Why Andrea chose Nordland
This lot faces directly down Kilisut Harbor facing Port Townsend. After scoping out the island for many years this property had in my opinion the very best view of anywhere on the island! The home was built as our retirement home as both my husband and I originally came from the NW. We plan on moving back in a few short years.
What makes this House unique
Waterfront property with oysters and clams. We have kayaks available in the summer months. The neighborhood is quiet and eagles can be heard along with other wild life. The area is a wonderful area that has bike trails and hiking galore.

Tranquil, restorative respite in a gorgeous waterfront setting
We spent five nights here and enjoyed every minute! The house itself is well appointed with Mission style furniture and a lovely gourmet kitchen. The radiant heating in the floors was most appreciated as we walked into the spacious bathroom each morning. We wished that we could own this home! It is a perfect romantic getaway!! The views of the local sailboats, anchored in the bay, were what we enjoyed each morning with our coffee or espresso. We toasted our 45th anniversary before we left this idyllic spot, and just as we were packing to leave, a group of raccoons saw us and virtually waved goodbye! The stairs to the beach, and the solitude of the property itself, are award winners in our book! We will definitely plan a return trip! Nathan & Terri
Wonderful home! Beautiful view! Everything you need for a perfect retreat!
This is a fantastic place to stay. The house is beautiful, up-to-date, very comfortable, and has everything you need. We relaxed, cooked, read, hung out by the water, took the kayaks out, and drove to Fort Flagler at the end of the Island. It was an extraordinarily peaceful and relaxing visit. The views are just breathtaking.....its even more beautiful than the photos convey. We drove to nearby Port Townsend. There is much to do and explore in the Olympic Peninsula area, but we loved the house and location so much we mostly stayed on Marrowstone Island. We saw deer, seals, bald eagles, kingfishers. This place is a treasure, and we hope to return.
Beautiful, spacious and well appointed with lovely view towards the bay.
An added bonus during our stay was observing a pair of otters come up into the yard.
Peaceful Off-Season Retreat
We enjoyed a long weekend at the Aerie's Nest in November, and it was exactly the cozy couple's retreat we had hoped for. This tasteful and comfortable home is full of comfy places, inside and out, to relax with a book or gaze out past the evergreens at the gorgeous view through the many bay-facing windows. It's an inspiring place to write or sketch as well. The kitchen is up-to-date and fully equipped, and we enjoyed cooking up some fresh, local seafood for dinner. Port Townsend is close by for shopping, good restaurants, and movies. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return!
Comfortable home with a wonderful view of the water
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this home. We were looking for a nice, relaxing retreat and this place was perfect. The water views are gorgeous! The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Firewood was provided for the wood stove. Stairs to the water are a little slippery but there is a handrail to use. I would book this place again.
Port Townsend is a mere 10 mikes away, cycling, kayaking, hiking, crabbing and fishing all great activities. For artists and musicians, this region is the mecca for bluegrass and jazz. World famous writers workshops all throughout the year. Local organic farms and winerys throughout the region.
