Why Dan Bates chose Sandy Bay

I love the quiet, laid back and comfortable atmosphere. The Reef - the second largest barrier reef in the world! It is pristine. The reef off the SeaDancer beach is part of the Roatan Marine Park and Preserve.

A place to relax and enjoy the tropical experience with beautiful singing birds, flowering plants, warm climate and tasty fresh seafood. Visiting the local market in Coxen Hole, West End, West Bay to try the many restaurants and local craft shopping experiences.

What makes this villa unique

A large, secluded beachfront Villa! Villas include large, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, Living Room, 2 Bedrooms and 2 Baths. Each Villa has a ocean view balcony. Seadancer offers a 350 ft dock with double deck. Sit on top and enjoy the view. Below hang your hammock and read a book. Swim out to the shallow reef. You can snake your way to the walls that plunge into the ocean depths. Filled with sea life, the reef is a place to spend hours with friends and family.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

Seadancer has a great location in Sandy Bay, quiet, nice beach, amazing snorkeling and deck yet close to a dive shop and restaurant. Staff is friendly and always around if you need anything. The beach is great for a long walk/run and if the water is low you can get around Lawson Rock and walk along time.

Its a short cab ride to the arboretum or Coxen Hole. You can snorkel to the reef if the water is calm and there are so many fish to see its like swimming in an aquarium. The unit we stayed in was clean and everything was in working order. We had a beautiful view of the water. We cooked our meals at home and the only suggestion would be to update the kitchen silverware and some of the small utensils, the blender stove and toaster all worked well (we even made brownies!) I would defiantly stay here again

This vacation is exactly what we were looking for.

  • 5 of 5

When we shop for a vacation location, we look for affordability foremost. Secondly, we are looking for a quiet place where there is no nightlife, no maid service, and a very functional kitchen so that we can make it a home away from home. And lastly, for this vacation in particular, we wanted a location where we could go to the beach and see the coral reef straight from our front door since we were taking our four boys with us for the first time. This location was exactly all of these. The building is not five star, but that's fine, since we have rowdy boys moving around. The onsite staff were excellent, helpful, and we were never felt uncomfortable even though our boys definitely upped the noise level. It took us a few days to figure out that if we swam straight out from the dock (very straight or a little to the right), there was a path through where the waves were crashing across the corals. On the other side of the waves (quite a swim), the reef is very active and enjoyable to spend time in. Also, the beach, several hundred yards to either side of us was almost completely vacant.... also something that we enjoyed

Owner's Response: A wonderful family that we thoroughly enjoyed! What a way to mix schooling, science and fun! From the moment the boys feet hit the ground they were off exploring and collecting. One found a conch and immediately made a horn out of it. Tales of the South Pacific were the sounds we heard! Another was cracking coconuts. All enjoyed eating the sweet meat and drinking the milk! A great family to have at our piece of paradise. We would welcome them back anytime. Mom & Dad certainly are to be commended for this active, fun and inquisitive brood they have hatched. A welcome addition to the SeaDancer family. We miss you already! Dan & Don
