About Vacasa of Mt Hood and Hood River
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

We had a lovely two night stay, very comfortable little cabin. Loved being able to walk into the village and snow shoe so close by.
Awesome location but definitely rustic
This cabin would get a better rating from us if it wasn’t musty/moldy smelling and better insulated. The heater had to run 24/7 to keep the temperature at 70 degrees and even then, the draftiness made it feel chronically cold. There was no heater in the loft so the loft was even colder than downstairs (in the 50’s). The circuit breaker couldn’t be accessed when the power in the kitchen went out (this must be a frequent problem based on the sign on the door.) Based on pictures and square footage we expected small spaces and RV style bathroom. That didn’t bother us at all & added to the charm. It was very dark and inadequate lighting. The location was awesome and the cabin was well-equipped with bathroom toiletries, towels, dishes, etc. Adding a stackable washer to the dryer would really be helpful.
We appreciate and encourage guests to let us know of any questions or concerns that may arise in the home so that we make work to address and resolve them as soon as possible. If there is ever anything we can do to assist in making your next stay with us more pleasurable, do not hesitate to reach out. We would love to host you again!
Property is as advertised
It is, in fact, very clean but quite small. With 3 adults, it was a bit difficult to move around, esp in the single bath and kitchen. Plus, there is no comfortable bed large enough for two adults to share. Nevertheless, everything else worked fine and we made the best of it. Instructions and in/out access were good.
Perfect place to stay
My son was at ski camp. This was the perfect location and the perfect cabin for us. I could get him to his team and after a day of skiing and dryland I could make him a home cooked meal. He had space to relax after a long day. The cabin was very neat and clean. It had everything that we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Cozy summer stay
We absolutely loved the stay at Ravens Roost in Government Camp! I can only imagine what it would have been like in February. The interior is cozy and good for a small family, but it was just my wife and I while hiking on Mt. Hood. Parking not much of an issue for my F150 short bed, space for two small cars. Only complaint I can think of was the refrigerator, the seal on the upper left side was separated and constantly ran during our stay and the water did have a strange odor, maybe on a well? Seemed of high iron or something in the water.

Whole stay was absolutely fabulous!! Close to slopes in Timberline, as well as great hiking. Mirror Lake loop was beautiful!
Only improvement: RECYCLING! Of all places, Oregon should have recycling everywhere! Felt criminal putting milk cartons, cardboard, certain plastics into the trash☹️
