About the property

Enjoy your own private downstairs unit (property is a duplex) in this classic Isle of Palms, SC property. Separate front and back entrances, private patios, and best of all - steps to the beach. Isle of Palms is known as one of the areas nicest beaches - enjoy! The space offers an open floor plan with a spacious living room and dining room that connects with the galley style kitchen. Modern appliances including a refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, and electric range. The property also includes a washer/dryer. Cable tv/wifi available. The master bedroom is large and features a large walk in closet with king size bed. Additional bedroom with it's own closet as well and a queen size bed. Bathroom features jetted tub and dual sinks with plenty of counter space. Private outdoor spaces including both a covered and uncovered patio. This property is central to everything the island has to offer. First and foremost the beach access to one of SC's best beaches is one house over but in addition the Isle of Palms recreation center is a block away and features tennis courts, multiple fields, indoor and outdoor basketball court, playground, etc. Fantastic restaurants and grocery stores nearby as well. World class golf courses minutes away. Downtown Charleston only 12 miles away.

Owners live in upstairs apartment so please be respectful. We want you to have a great time but please no loud parties, no pets, and no smoking. Owners have two older, friendly dogs - a springer spaniel and a lab - however dogs are behind fencing in the backyard. You can interact with them as little or as much as you like! Short term rental agreement to be signed by both parties prior to your stay. Host can provide a copy at your request.

Perfect location!

This home is in a great location: a 20 min walk (via the beach or thru town) to IOP County Park Beach and all the restaurants. Grocery store very close too. A less than 5 min walk to a closer beach. Rooms were clean and well furnished. We had plenty of room to chill out in the evenings and we were very comfortable. Perfect for us (2 adults, 2 teens)!

The Location, The Property, and The Owners easily surpassed all of our Expectations

Sparkling wood floors in every room except bathroom. Very tasteful furniture, kitchen. Newer, and comfortable beds. The rooms were large, especially the Master Bedroom. The owners (who live upstairs) were very gracious. They were there when you needed them, and not when you didn't. The unit is one house away from the street, that is on the Ocean, with access to the Fabulous beach. In case you haven't figured it out yet, Yes, we liked the place.

Perfect location and great accommodations!

We stayed here for a weekend in October for our friend's wedding at Wild Dunes. The house was great! The weekend we stayed was the weekend of pending hurricane Joaquin and it rained constantly. Other than going to the wedding, we literally stayed inside the entire weekend and enjoyed our time thoroughly! We were very happy with the openness and comfort of the living room and kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped with most amenities for us to cook meals. If you are planning on staying for more than a few days and want to cook most of your meals at home, I would suggest bringing some kitchen staples with you. There were plenty of utensils, plates, glasses, etc. but no oil, sugar, salt, pepper, or other staples. I wasn't expecting these items to be included, this is just a friendly suggestion if you plan on cooking a lot! The living/family room was very comfortable with cable TV and a comfy couch to enjoy Saturday football. The owner and his family live on the 2nd floor and we barely heard them. Compared to other places I've rented on VRBO, Jeff was accommodating and communicative. He provided details well in advance of renting and took the time to answer any questions I had timely and thoroughly. Although we didn't venture out due to weather, the beach access was half a block away. A quick 5 minute drive got us to the Harris Teeter and other shops on the main strip once you reach Isle of Palms. 5 minutes further north and we were at the Wild Dunes entrance. Overall this location was incredibly convenient for what we needed and I would definitely come back for a better weather weekend to enjoy the beach! Thanks to Jeff for the great experience!

Great location and perfect get away!

Great location and perfect for a small family. Plenty of room. We had a lot of rain and had to spend more time inside than we had hoped but it was comfortable and we were able to keep our little ones entertained. So close to the beach and great to be able to walk back and forth quickly to the beach house. Also very close to a great park that my kids love. We can't wait to come back. Owners were very helpful and responsive to all my questions. We will definitely be back hopefully in the next couple of months.
