Cozy garage apartment nestled in the heart of Charleston

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here and had a wonderful stay. Ginny, the owner, was very responsive to all requests and made sure that we were well equipped for our stay, providing guidance on the local area. There was a nice bottle of white wine left for us which was the perfect touch to a romatic weekend. The apartment has a nice private courtyard, two beach cruiser bicycles, and was very comfortably furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back!

Great Location and Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this apartment for an 11 day stay in Charleston in order to see how we enjoyed "living" in the city. We like to walk, and the location is just a few blocks from King Street, and about a 15-20 minute walk to Market Street, the French Quarter, and the Waterfront Park. The rental includes one off-street parking space, so we left our car there and skipped the hassle of trying to find parking in the city center. On really hot days (it was July!) we took advantage of the free shuttle to get around the city.

The apartment itself is a converted garage, but the interior shows no sign of its original use. The galley kitchen was perfect for the 2 of us, and the bedroom and living room were comfortable and inviting. The bathroom also contained a washer/dryer combo, which came in very handy on an 11 day stay! The entire place was spotlessly clean, and the very efficient AC unit kept us comfortable when the outside temps were in the 90's.

The host, Ginny, met us on our arrival to show us around. There was a welcome bottle of wine, and a couple of beers and water bottles in the fridge to get us started. We enjoyed our morning coffee (Keurig machine and pods provided) and evening cocktails outside on the private brick sitting area.

We had a wonderful time, and highly recommend this location!

Cozy and convenient!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I needed a place to stay in Charleston for a wedding and this was the perfect spot! It was more affordable than the hotel group blocks and had much better amenities like a kitchen, bikes, and complimentary bottle of wine from the owner, Ginny. The place was less than a mile from everywhere we needed to go, so we did not need our car once. Ginny was very responsive and hospitable. We highly recommend this spot for your Charleston stay; we'd definitely be back!

Perfect Home for A Couple Over a Long Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I celebrated our second anniversary in Charleston this past weekend. Ginny's place was a great find. It is a rehabbed garage. Compact in size; well designed/thoughtful use of the space. The apartment included everything we needed - full bath, bedroom, living room, kitchen and patio. We enjoyed coffee made w/the Keurig on the patio. A bottle of wine was awaiting our arrival, and there were shampoos and lotions (travel size) available for our use in the bathroom. Plenty of towels (including beach towels) at our disposal. A curtain over the glass door separating the bedroom from living area would be nice, but was not an issue for us as we didn't have a third guest. The bikes were a real plus! We enjoyed exploring the Battery, downtown Charleston, beautiful homes, and city parks on wheels. We had difficulty with one of the bike chains (fell off twice). Ginny was very responsive and we were able to bring it into the bike shop nearby for a quick tune up. There is a big basket of guidebooks and a resource guide for guests w/ recommendations on food, attractions, and historic sights. The location is perfect, most city sights are within 1 - 1.5 miles. We enjoyed walking to Hominy Grille for brunch. The space was a great home base. We would highly recommend to others and hope to stay again in the future.
