About Matthew Lindley
I bought this very special farmhouse to share with my family. We're four siblings, parents, partners, and children. We've found ourselves living all over the world, but we love spending time together and now we have the space to do it. We love being here, it's always good to be together! There is always something to do, even if that's only lazing in the sun (which we've done at Christmas and New Year!).

Why Matthew Lindley chose El Valle
As soon as we saw it we fell in love. My dad and I looked for over 4 years to find our perfect slice of heaven. Success! The Lecrin Valley means happiness, and the views from the farmhouse confirm this. I love a great view and from the Cortijo Alba Rosa you have them in every direction! I find myself getting up early just to see the dawn and while I hate seeing a day end here, a sundowner with a glass of wine from the local bodega is pure heaven. If you fancy a good book before you arrive or while you are here read 'driving over lemons' by Chris Stewart, its all about his experiences in the Valley .
What makes this Villa unique
Peace and tranquility not far from the highway Views that take your breath away Space for all the family to enjoy multiple activities Enormous Moroccan table under a canopy of wisteria. Great for summer and winter dining Close to Alhambra (book ahead), skiing, beach, and all country pursuits Large pool, with great views Amazing night sky (who knew there were so many stars?), sunsets and sunrises (there's a reason why its called the Alba Rosa)

amazing break in a stunning location
Best holiday ever! We had the best of three worlds. The villa is stunning with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is particularly well stocked. The swimming pool was fantastic for the kids. We had Culture in Grenada just 30 minutes away. The Alhambra is a must, and the gypsy flamenco dancing in traditional caves should not be missed. The seaside is also only 35 minutes away. The traditional white Spanish seaside towns were beautiful and the restaurants were great. But I liked the villa best. Walking in the lemon groves and picking fresh lemons was a highlight. The views could not be bettered and there were fantastic walks down the mountains to the local village. Go to Las Naranjas, the food is fantastic. Thank you for sharing your home Matthew, we had. A great time.
Thank you Justine, it was wonderful to share Cortijo Alba Rosa with you and your family. I’m glad the magic of Lecrin Valley, Granada, and the Costa Tropical have cast their spell on you. We look forward to seeing you again, Matthew
A rural location offering uninterrupted views of the mountains, hills, valley, and lake. While in a truly rural location its proximity to the highway (A-44) allows easy access to the Costa Tropical (beach), Alhambra (culture), Granada (city), Las Alpajurras (walking) and Sierra Nevada (mountains and skiing).
The local area offers all the amenities you need for a great holiday. A nearby supermarket (Mercadona), and banks, markets in the valley most days, a local vineyard and restaurant.
