Sand Caper 103 checks all the right boxes for the perfect Fort Myers Beach getaway: It’s just steps from the white sands and the Gulf of Mexico, it’s in a complex that has a private heated pool, and it includes a screened-in lanai, free WiFi, and a full bathroom for each bedroom.

Located on the ground floor, the 2-bedroom Sand Caper 103 can sleep 4 people. The master suite includes a queen-size bed from which you can watch your favorite late-night shows on the HDTV. The bedroom also opens directly onto the lanai, so you can stargaze late at night with your sweetheart while the kids are asleep. The en-suite bathroom has a combination shower/tub; rev up with a brisk shower in the morning, then wind down with a soothing bath at night.

Furnished with a pair of twin beds, the 2nd bedroom is just right for the kids. And having a 2nd bathroom is so convenient: You won’t have to take a number before you can get washed up in the morning! We’ll provide stacks of clean towels, and the beds will be perfectly made up when you arrive, so you don’t have to bring linens from home. In fact, you can pack lighter than usual, as Sand Caper 103 has its own washer and dryer.

The open-concept living/dining area looks exactly as you’d want a Florida condo to look: large windows looking out onto lushly landscaped grounds, tiled floors that will feel so refreshing underfoot when you return from the beach, restful colors, comfortable seating. The whole family can gather on the sectional leather couch with plenty of room to spare. Whether you’re watching a movie on the HDTV with cable and DVD player or playing charades, you’ll all love spending time together here in sunny, air-conditioned comfort.

The dining area’s table seats 4 in cushioned rattan-style chairs as comfortable as they are stylish. Or perhaps you’d rather eat on the lanai; it too has a table for 4, and its ceiling fan will keep you cool even during the dog days of summer. What’s more, its view is lovely, as it overlooks a sandbar and an inlet of the gulf. You’re sure to see all sorts of herons, egrets, and sandpipers.

Whether you choose to dine indoors or on the lanai, you’ll find Sand Caper 103’s kitchen equipped with all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you’ll need to cook a feast… or heat up leftovers from the previous evening’s restaurant meal. (And there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance!) Another option is to cook and dine alfresco at the condo complex’s barbecue area. Whether it’s flounder you reeled in yourself or veggies from the nearby market, they’ll taste even better when grilled and eaten out in the fresh gulf air.

The Sand Caper complex has a heated pool as well. When you’re not swimming you can laze on a poolside chaise or enjoy a snack beneath the sun umbrella at one of the tables. The rushing of the waves onto the beach and the rustling of the breeze through the palm trees make for an idyllic soundtrack.

And the beach itself is just beyond the complex. You’ll be able to stroll to and from whenever you please. Paddleboard in the morning, race jet skis at midday, collect seashells before dinner, watch for dolphins and manatees among the gulf waves any time of day.

Sand Caper is close to other attractions as well. You can walk to the shops and restaurants of Santini Marina Plaza in less than 5 minutes. Only a few miles from the condo is Lovers Key State Park, where you can canoe, kayak, hike, bike, and fish. Less than 5 miles north is the buzzy Times Square area; if you don’t want to drive you can hop on the trolley that runs the length of the island.

Enjoyable stay in spite of it all!

The rental is through a property management company, vacation rental pros, not the owner. We had a problem with cable upon our arrival however they were unable to contact the owner to assess the problem for 4 days, this was an. Issue leaving us without tv for the time. The condo is as stated, though clearly just a rental, no alarm clock or hairdryer. It was missing a home away feel. The complex is great, nice pool, grounds, grill needed updating but price was right. Dryer dial broken, needed a wrench, provided, but it was a mystery if clothes would be dry or not following cycle. Unsure if we would stay again, would rather rent from owner,
