While there were some ‘issues’...
Before our arrival a duplicate charge occurred- it was corrected the next day but still caused 12 hours of angst.
Upon our arrival the door code did not work. We called, left a message, and someone called us back with a new one after a minute or so but it was nerve wracking as we had 2 small tired children and wondered what we’d do if no one answered the emergency number. Also, we reserved a pack n play and upon calling were told it would be delivered the next day causing frustration since we had a 2 year old with us who was not used to an adult bed.
The next day we found that there was no controller for the DVD. When we asked about it, the reply was that someone must have taken it. No replacement was provided.
Other than these ‘issues’ the house was fine. The grandkids played in the lowest level and their noise never seemed to be an issue. More than once I was glad that we were not in a condo. The beds were all comfortable. There was plenty of dishes and silverware. The table was big enough to hold the 8 of us and our son and his family of 4 who live in Colorado Springs when they came to visit. (He had to bring 2 chairs with him but I was happy we could all sit together.) All enjoyed grilling hot dogs and making s’mores on the fire pit in the backyard.
I wanted to make some happy memories for our 3 children and their families as we all live in different cities. I believe we did.
We love the place. Very convenient for us.
The place is very clean and spacious for us. My kids loves it. They play downstairs.
Located just 5 minutes northeast of Downtown Colorado Springs, the Patty Jewett neighborhood is named after the Springs' oldest (and most colorful) municipal golf course, located just a few blocks away from the home (the clubhouse, open to the public, has a great beer selection, outdoor patio, and FOOD...a local favorite!) Just down the road from this house is the United States Olympic Training Center, open to the public for tours…where America's pre-eminent amateur athletes train for Gold. The neighborhood here is established and charming, with tree-lined streets and plenty of neighbors who know each other and might greet you with a friendly wave. Although no quite "urban," there are plenty of shops, cafes, and grocery stores located close by. Access to all of the best, most well-known attractions for guests and visitors to Colorado Springs (Downtown, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, the Air Force Academy, the Broadmoor, Manitou Springs) is easy and ubiquitous. We'd like to welcome you to our town, and staying here, we know that you'll enjoy it to its fullest!
