About the property

Central to all the Finger Lakes has to offer

A perfect lakeside retreat in the heart of the Finger Lakes. It’s uniquely located on the Seneca Lake wine trail halfway between Geneva and Watkins Glen, less than 10 miles from Keuka Lake. Whether you’re visiting the area to get out and enjoy its scenic beauty or relaxing by the tranquil water, this hidden gem affords you access to it all.

Begin your escape as you drive along the gravel path that leads to a beautiful log home tucked beneath a canopy of trees with Seneca Lake peeking through. There is ample parking with room for yard games along the west side of the home, and the main entrance lies to the south. The smell of cedar will greet you as you walk into the open floor plan of Secluded Bliss Lodge.

The kitchen spans one end of the home, providing ample counter space alongside new appliances for the family chef. Both the dining and living spaces flow directly off the kitchen and offer comfortable seating, views of the surrounding woods, antique adornments and an ornamental wood stove to enhance the lodge’s rustic charm. Double doors off the living area open to a fully furnished, screened in front porch; a tranquil space with a peaceful view to enjoy your morning coffee.

For your convenience there is a full bathroom with shower and tub on the main floor, as well as a first floor bedroom complete with a queen bed. Go up the set of stairs off the living room and you’ll find a vaulted loft with additional sleeping space. There is a bedroom at each end of the upper level, one with a queen bed and half bath, the other with a queen bed and futon. Handmade quilts and comfy pillows on all the beds guarantee you will sleep “like a log”.

Have fun in the lower level rec room housing air hockey and Ping-Pong tables, puzzles, games and a small tv. From here, open the door to an outdoor space complete with a grill, fire pit and steps that lead to 20’ of lakefront, a dock and boat hoist. Don’t miss out on the subtle luxury that Secluded Bliss has to offer. Book today!

About Sarah Mantell Marino

We love the Finger Lakes and we love to share all that this incredible area has to offer!

Why Sarah Mantell Marino chose Keuka Lake

Location, location, location. It's at the center of anything you need to make your stay ideal for you.

What makes this cabin unique

Our cabin is truly a magical place any time of year.

In the winter months cozy up with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and your favorite book or movie. The view of the lake is incredible once the leaves have fallen and the smell of cedar nourishes the soul. Our neighborhood is quiet and the snow covered path to the cabin adds to its tranquility.

Feel alive in the spring as everything comes into bloom! Wine trail events begin to pick up and area hiking trails begin to thaw.

Summer is our peak season on Seneca Lake. Take a refreshing morning swim, enjoy the fire pit and stop for a pint at our local brewery.

Fall is alive with color. The trees lining our property are ablaze with shades of red and yellow. The sun is warm, the air is cool and the local cuisine is at its best.

We feel so fortunate to live at the center of such a beautiful place.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The cabin was great! We loved our stay and wish we could stay longer. Everything was gorgeous and extremely clean. We were so comfortable and relaxed. Cozy fire pit with lake views was a perfect way to relax after a long day of wine tasting. Looking forward to making this an annual trip!

Great location, great home, great vacation

  • 5 of 5

Secluded Bliss was outstanding. The home had everything we needed & the screen in porch was awesome to view the lake & be outside. There is 107 steps to the lake, great workout routine before visiting the wineries & breweries. We are definitely returning in 2018. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Adorable Retreat for Adults; Not Suitable for Young Children

  • 2 of 5

Our experience at Secluded Bliss had its share of ups and downs. When we arrived at the cabin it was not clean and the linens hadn't been washed due to a mix up in the cleaning lady's schedule.

The cabin itself is absolutely adorable and beautifully decorated with rustic antiques. However, the main bedroom as well as the bathroom and pantry had a musty smell. We had a difficult time getting the DVD player to work consistently and could not access the dish satellite. We could not get the dishwasher to function either.

I was disappointed to see there was no sort of yard and the drop off along the perimeter of the house was steep. Therefore, no yard games could be conducted. The steps to the dock are numerous and steep and there are no beaches close by. There is a very narrow view of the lake in the rear of the cabin but the rest is covered by trees. There was a nice canoe and kayaks as well as life jackets provided. The basement provided a ping pong and air hockey table which is a nice touch.

We did enjoy the cabin, primarily the loft and outdoor porch, however the lack of yard, stairs to the lake and steep drop-offs did not make it an ideal vacation spot for young children. We had to take our toddler to other locations because there wasn't anything he could really do at the cabin. However, this property would provide a nice get away for adults looking for some quiet serenity, time on the lake and wine tasting.

Owner's Response: Chanda, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. All guest feedback helps us enhance the experience we provide for future renters. Please allow us to address some of the items mentioned in your comments: 1. CLEANING: We sincerely apologize for the mix-up and any inconvenience it may have caused. Your review was the first time this glitch was brought to our attention and, to our knowledge, the first time this situation has ever arisen. As you can see from the feedback of previous guests, our cleaning crew takes great pride in their work. We do hope when the cleaning was completed upon arrival that it exceeded your expectations. 2. MUSTY ODOR: With humidity at an all time high in July on the lake, we do our best to keep moisture low in the cabin. There is a large dehumidifier in the basement, as well as a small portable unit in the first floor bathroom. We have also installed 3 AC units throughout the cabin. If the odor was brought to our attention during your stay, we would have made sure those elements were in place and functioning properly. 3. DVD/DISHWASHER: Since the cabin is rented full time in the summer months we depend on and encourage all of our guests to be in touch with any questions that arise, especially when it comes to electronics and appliances. Your feedback is sometimes our only way of knowing that there is a malfunction. We are only 15 minutes away and happy to help when notified. Both items have been addressed since your stay. 4. SATELLITE/CABLE: We apologize for any confusion but it is clearly stated in our property description on VRBO/HomeAway that there is NO cable or satellite at the cabin due to our remote location. 5. YARD SPACE: As stated through the HomeAway/VRBO app and our check in/check out binder at the cabin, there is an HOA lawn located to the left of our driveway. This can be used for yard games or parking extra vehicles to create more space in the driveway for fun. 6. LAKEFRONT: Our lakefront area at the cabin is conducive for swimming, relaxing and launching the canoe and kayaks. If you (or any future guest) were looking for sandy beach recommendations, never hesitate to call or refer to our app suggestions. We’re glad you enjoyed the game room in the basement and made the most of the screened in porch. Our hope is that the Finger Lakes treated you well and that you’ll be back to visit the region in the future. All the best, The Marino's

Love this cabin!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I wanted to get the kids on vacation where ipads no longer were needed and we found that place! We brought our boat and docked it right on the lake. The cabin was quaint with enough room for 5 of us . We went for walks by the lake, canoeing, skiing, tubing and only 15 minutes from the beautiful Watkins Glen State Park. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. At night we built a fire and made smores, roasted hot dogs and put together puzzles. This cabin is a perfect place to get away from the city!

Perfect reunion

  • 5 of 5

Great place to get reunited with old friends while enjoying the water and winery's. Secluded enough to be unbothered but close enough to be active with so much to do in the surrounding area. The lakehouse was clean and inviting and spacious enough for all. Would love to rent again.
