About Rebecca and Jeff DeMiceli
Your proprietors are Jeff and Rebecca. Rebecca has been coming to Cushing and Friendship Maine for the summer since she was an infant, like her father and grandmother before her. Jeff and Rebecca met in late 2003. Jeff first came to Maine during the summer of 2004, and the trip quickly became a huge part of his life as well. Rebecca and Jeff got married in 2010, after getting engaged the previous summer in a rowboat while floating in Muscongus Bay as fireworks from nearby Friendship Day illuminated the night sky. When Rebecca’s aunt and uncle decided to sell the property in 2012, Rebecca and Jeff jumped at the chance to own their own piece of Maine waterfront. Sadly, the existing cabin on the property was in serious disrepair and not salvageable. Rebecca and Jeff seized the opportunity to make the property truly their own and designed and built the cabin you see in the pictures. They, along with family and friends, built the cabin from the ground up during the summer of 2013. Jeff and Rebecca are thrilled to continue the tradition of summers in Maine with their own children, Vincent James, who was born in June 2014 and Vienna Leigh, who was born in May 2016. The finishing touches to the cabin were completed in early August 2015.
Rebecca and Jeff DeMiceli purchased this Cabin in 2013

Beautiful Cabin to "Get Away"
Great place to relax and get away from the chaos of life. Very clean with everything you need for an enjoyable vacation and the owners were wonderful and very quick in getting back to you with any questions you have. Beautiful view and deck to enjoy amazing sunsets!
A wonderful place for a vacation!
Remote, relaxing and prepared
This was an OCD dream come true spot to stay. Everything was in order and available. They had everything we needed and even things we didn’t know we needed. It was like staying in a resort with the cleanliness and amenities. The house is nice and remote and although it is in pristine updated condition it is still primitive with the wood burner as its major source of heat unless you used the little electric one. But the fires on the chilly evenings were a nice touch.
I would have to say our one and only minor issue would have been a better unobstructed view of the water from the deck.
The best ever
Excellent and beautiful cabin. Would recommend everyone to stay here!!! All the essentials you need!!!
This charming house is amazing. It’s very well equipped, quiet, and comfortable. The owners have really tried to make the visit as easy as possible. We had a bald eagle on the first morning. No matter what the weather, it is a great place. There are many things to do in the area. But the best thing to do is nothing. If you want a quiet and relaxing vacation, this is the perfect place.
Just feet from the shoreline of Muscongus Bay, with a view of the rocky Maine coastline and the setting sun. Enjoy watching the lobstermen, seabirds and other local wildlife every day.
Cushing is rural but only 15-20 minutes from larger towns, such as Thomaston & Rockland, with everything you need. Cushing has one general store with a variety of goods and homemade items. How rural can it be if you can get pizza delivered? Check our binder for the menu of the pizza place in Thomaston that delivers!
Cushing is a very small village but has some great attractions. You can visit the working lobster docks to choose your own dinner or visit the historic Olsen House, best known for its portrayal in the works of the Wyeth family.
