About Megan Taylor
Megan and Leith live in the peaceful Adelaide Hills, and they themselves have a love for travel and adventure. They both have spent their lives in this area and now their children enjoy the semi rural upbringing the Hills provide. Pre-Children they spent almost two years travelling the whole of Australia, living for a period in both Port Douglas QLD, and Broome WA. Even after seeing so many of the wonderful places in the country, South Australia and its pristine beaches still amaze them wherever they go.

Why Megan Taylor chose Normanville
Normanville was only introduced to us around 12 years ago by good friends that also holiday rent their houses there. Over this time we absolutely fell in love with the town and the surrounding areas and decided to build DECKadence when the perfect parcel of land became available in the "Old survey area" of Normanville, close to the beach and also the main street.

Wonderful and relaxing stay
DECKadence is a beautiful place to stay. My family had a wonderful time here, it's a gorgeous modern home with so much space and everything you need to have a relaxing get away. It is peaceful and quite but also within walking distance to the shops and the beach.
Megan and her husband was quick to help with any questions we had. We will definitely be back. Thank you :)
Normanville and the Fluerieu Peninsula is quickly becoming known amongst tourists for its gorgeous beaches and rugged coastline. It also boasts many fine boutique restaurants , wineries, and craft breweries. Take the opportunity to have a drink on the balcony of the Normanville Surf Lifesaving Club or enjoy a meal at the Jetty Cafe, both right on the beach overlooking the ocean with views from Carrickalinga all the way down to Rapid Bay.
The Links Lady Bay Golf Course is a renowned top quality golf course that will test even the finest golfers - especially if the wind is blowing, and it is also worth a drink or meal at the expansive clubhouse with magnificent views over the course to the ocean. There is a fabulous new craft brewery called Forktree Brewing, just up the hill out of Carrickalinga.
Fishing can be done from the beaches for Salmon Trout or Mullet at various times of the year and the odd snapper or mulloway have been known to be landed. However squid is the most widely caught species in the area , from the local jetties at Rapid Bay or Second Valley and the breakwater at Wirrina Cove Marina. The local service station in Normanville is a well stocked tackle shop for those keen to have a go.
Second Valley has a cute beach with some shallow snorkelling areas amongst the rocks, and for the adventurous, a popular cliff jumping spot with some easy jumps for the beginners and some big ones for the brave, a 5 minute stroll around the corner.
Further down the coast, you can visit Cape Jervis, the closest point of the mainland to Kangaroo Island and easily visible on clear days. Or turn off at Delamere to visit Deep Creek Conservation Park and with a 4WD, meander your way down to Blowhole Beach, a great little drive quite steep in parts , with more spectacular views to Kangaroo Island.
