Such a beautiful home in such a beautiful setting! Great, friendly small town so close to all the natural beauty of Yellowstone. Awesome snowmobiling !!
We've spent a winter week in Cooke City/Silvergate for the last 7 years. This was by far our best accommodations. Our group of 5 sledders/skiers had plenty of room and we were based close to our destinations and town. Suzy is easy to work with and very accommodating.
The house was fully stocked with every kitchen gadget you could want! Great bedding, everything was easy to use, and kids loved the gathering room downstairs. Lots of light and beautiful views!!
Only drawback for us was dining room chairs were very uncomfortable leaving no sitting area for our family to gather while cooking. Which isolated me. It was hard to be upset in such s nice kitchen though. :)
Perfect home for hosting a family or group get together. Walking distance to the restaurants and water holes in a Cooke City. Nice amenities like the hot tub and fire pit. The homeowner was very prompt to reply to any of our needs.
This is a beautiful, warm and cozy retreat. I have been coming to this neck of the woods all my life but never have I stayed in such a lovely place. Our family made so many wonderful memories. We were able to visit the YNP and the Sunlight Basin but have a cozy house to return to each evening. It being Labor Day we hoped for the last beautiful weather of the season but what we got was even better. The first day was truly sunny and beautiful but after that the weather started to turn which was wonderful. We got to watch the area descend into fall with leaves changing and snow creeping down the mountain. We still went out adventuring everyday because we knew we had a warm fireplace, warm hot tub under the sky, cozy beds, and well appointed kitchen to come back to every evening. The view out the porch and dining windows is stunning especially the bison wandering through Sunday morning which captivated our children. We will definitely be back soon!
This is a great property just 4 miles from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone park. Great location, great views from the patio/deck. The kitchen is very well equipped and if you are going to cook, this property will work out really well. You'll need to buy all your groceries from Bozeman or whatever major town you land in. This property is located in Cooke City where you'll find a couple of general stores that carry basic stuff like milk, eggs and bread, but the selection is very limited. There's also no cellular signal in this area but the property has wifi and there's also a land line you can use to make outgoing calls.
The property was clean when we arrived although it could definitely use a more thorough cleaning. The outdoor cushions were very dusty, for example. The master bedroom is great. Very comfortable. As somebody else noted, the mattresses in other rooms could be of better quality.
The property has a really nice hot tub and foosball table on the lower level. Kids loved both these things.
