Well kept, rustic cabin on large wooded lot. Why stay in a stacked condo?! Open floor plan (kitchen, dining area, and living area) 5 miles to Angel Fire Resort. Right off Hwy 434. 2 Queen bedrooms (one has kids' loft) and bedroom with 2 twin beds. Awesome wraparound porch. 7th and 8th adult guest would be on sleeper sofa. Other mountain areas to enjoy (Taos and Red River). Come enjoy a nice, economical stay in Logger's Ridge.
Property management company in Angel Fire was very helpful, as was the owner. When we got to the property we found that it was exactly what it said it would be. Very nicely decorated, and the fully stocked kitchen - dishes, cooking utensils were the best supply that we have ever found at a rental. This is from 2 people who love to cook when vacationing. We had our 2 grandsons with us, and the property was a perfect spot for them. Enough outdoor space for them to roam, and the loved the loft in the second bedroom. Plenty of space for having lots of fun, and close enough, but not too close to activities, such as fishing, bicycling, hiking, and much more. And campfires in the evening for some yummy s'mores! We will surely try to come again!
The cabin was more spacious than we expected. Everything was clean and felt like home from the moment we walked in.
The location was isolated enough to feel like a complete wilderness, but close enough to stores to be convenient. Everything was extremely quiet and peaceful. I Will definitely be coming back next year!
The cabin is everything you would expect it to be. It is aesthetically pleasing (made of logs), warm at night (the wood stove gets the place toasty and the electric heaters work well), there is plenty of room for a big family, the kitchen is fully functional (the Keurig needs cleaned), and the place is well stocked. The property manager is friendly and easy to work with. The cabin is easy to find. We saw herds of elk along the highway between the cabin and Angel Fire. I would stay here again.
2 things: 1) The water heater is a little small so make your showers brief. 2) If you come to Angel Fire/Red River during the off-season expect most shops and restaurants to be closed. H2 was open and took good care of us.
We stayed 4 nights in February. Cabin is bigger than it appears in pictures. Everything was clean. It was really well stocked! Plenty of towels, dishes, pots/pans, all heaters and appliances were great. There was PLENTY of firewood! Beds were comfy, there were even extra linens. Washer/Dryer worked wonderful. It was nice to be outside the town of Angel Fire (not by much) but we loved the scenery around the cabin. Owner was very nice, great communication. We were very pleased with our stay.
We loved watching the birds outside our windows in the morning.
One tip- it only has a keurig coffee pot, so bring your k-cups! We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone.
We had a wonderful getaway! The cabin is the perfect size for just two or a large family. The living area is bigger than it looks in the picture, the deck was beautiful looking onto a big yard, the kitchen well-stocked, and the satellite TV was a fun bonus. The mud room was a WONDERFUL feature after our outdoor adventures...plenty of space and hooks for coats, boots, helmets, etc. The cabin stayed toasty-warm for the whole stay. It was situated perfectly for a our road trips around the Enchanted Circle. Our 2wd van had no problem getting into the neighborhood and driveway. Thanks and gig 'em!
We had a wonderful stay! Everything was clean, and there was plenty of firewood so we were never cold though it was in the teens overnight! (Don't worry, there is electric heat too if you wish) In fact, with the wood stove going it was overly warm and we had to open the door a time or two! Well designed cabin with plenty of room to move around. We had three couples originally and didn't feel cramped at all. For me this was the absolutely perfect place to stay.
The living room is larger than it looks in the pictures, but the room with the two twin beds is definitely smaller than it appears so be prepared for that. I would be fine with tossing two children in there, but if you have an adult couple you may hear complaints!
I would gladly stay in the cabin again, but my husband is adamantly against it because there was NO internet, and the cell reception was non-existent if you had anything other than AT&T, (and even then it was touch and go.) I love the outdoors and being separated from normal daily life so the lack of digital connection didn't bother me a bit. So if you can disconnect for a few days and just enjoy life, this cabin is perfect.
The cabin is roughly 7 minutes drive from Angel Fire which is just right in my opinion. Far enough to get out, but close enough if you need to run to the store. It's right off the paved road so it was very easy to access and it'd take some really bad weather to prohibit 2-wheel drive vehicles.
5 stars, A+, lots of games and other items provided. I couldn't be happier!
