Overview

About the property

1 Bedroom 1 Bath Lakeside Log Cabin With Large Deck And Artistic Charm

The Perch overlooks Lake Lucerne, a 3-acre spring fed lake only two miles from historic downtown Eureka Springs. Enjoy the charm of this rustic 1920's log cabin with all the comforts of home and many artistic features like stained glass windows and local artwork. The large craftsman style wraparound deck gives a wonderful vantage point for viewing the lake. The deck has a grill (designated vegan grill available upon request), large patio table, and porch swing. With windows surrounding the cabin on all sides, you can see an abundance of wildlife- otters, beavers, turtles, eagles, herons, etc. If you're lucky, you may even see a fox from your bedroom window! For bird lovers, there are binoculars and a bird guide book for you to use during your stay. Catch and release fishing is allowed at the lake, and we can also recommend many of the other prime fishing spots in the area. There is no swimming area at the lake, but it is a very peaceful place to sit and soak in the surroundings. The cabin has a full kitchen with range/oven, stainless cookware, dishes, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. In addition to central heat and air, you can cozy up to the gas stove on a cold night, or take a bath in the double ended claw foot tub for two. There is wifi, cable, and a DVD player. With the vaulted ceiling and exposed log beams, the cabin has a very open feel to it.

Eureka Springs has a wide variety of restaurants, galleries and shops, and has music and festivities almost every weekend of the year. It is a great town to explore with many ways to get around- trolleys, scooter rentals, etc. For those who like to walk, there are many sidewalks through town and hiking trails which are currently being expanded. You can take a historic walking tour and learn the stories behind the many natural springs and historic homes in town.

For outdoor activities, you can float one of the many crystal clear rivers in the area. The White River and Kings River (where you can rent canoes and kayaks) have many floating opportunities only minutes away, and the National Buffalo River is only an hours drive where you can do the same. There are endless hiking trails locally and at the Buffalo River where you can enjoy the unique landscape of the Ozarks with beautiful mountain views and towering bluffs. Lake Leatherwood Park is a 15 minute drive and offers hiking, swimming, and boating. A library of guidebooks are available for your use.

Whether you feel like exploring the area or cozying up in the cabin, the Perch at Lake Lucerne lends itself to true relaxation. One would never think that a place so peaceful is only minutes from town. We hope that everyone who stays here leaves feeling refreshed and renewed.

Quaint, Tranquil a Wonderful retreat

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic property with everything you could possibly need in the cabin. This property is spacious and well-equipped. The scenery outside the windows is breathtaking. Quiet, off=the-beaten-path location, but only minutes away from all the amenities and attractions Eureka Springs has to offer. We loved our stay here. Sitting on the porch in the morning and in the evening, you will have an opportunity to see a lot of wildlife -- we even saw a beaver! The owners, Lucie and Rod, couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We will definitely return next year. We highly recommend this property. D.&D. Lief

Very cute cabin.

  • 5 of 5

Cabin had all the essentials to enjoy your stay. Hart’s Family Store was very close and we enjoyed shopping for groceries there then cooking most of our meals at the cabin. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay in the Boston Mountians.

Just beautiful

  • 5 of 5

From the 1st step inside the cabin, just beautiful! Was so relaxing, from the porch swing over looking the lake to the walk around it. Watching the family of deer play down the driveway was magical. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable, best sleep I've had in a while. Will most definitely be back!!
