Fantastic location

  • 3 of 5

Location couldn't be better for walking downtown. Love the open feel to the place and airiness.donut shop downstairs and coffe cafe next to that, delicious and convenient.

The condo itself is somewhat shabby, which is no problem for a 3 day stay. Missing light bulbs, can't run both fan and light in bedroom at same time.thin towels and pillows.Kitchen has everything we needed.Lots of hot water and good shower pressure. The 2nd "bedroom" (old elevator shaft) didn't appear to be a problem, I planned on sleeping in it- but- the noise was awful.

Even with earplugs I bought after the 1st night, the bass reverb from another condo or wherever, was audible- the bed even vibrated a little. Less noticeable in the living room, but then the people walking / talking above us could be heard.

My friends in the other bedroom were woken up intermittently throughout the nights also.

there's only 1 key for the private elevator- I wasn't told about the lock box for it until I asked about a 2nd key.

So, if you keep late nights, it should be no problem for you. If you want to go to sleep before 3:00am, good luck.great digs for a batchelor party!

And still, the wonderful location makes up for most of it- I'm too tired right now or I would say "makes up for all of it"

Great location but could use some improvements

  • 3 of 5

The condo is a half mile walk to Beale, which we loved and hashe an awesome pool table which we also loved. The overall feel of the place is pretty cool with brick walls and open concept. The downsides: none of the beds were made up so after 10 hours on the rode we had to do that but the bedding was in the dryer and was still damp, there was about a third of a roll of toilet paper in one bathroom and none in the other so we had to fetch some more because there's six of us, none of the sheets fit the beds well so sheets kept coming off all night, and most of the dishes were dirty in the dishwasher with no detergent (we were told some would be dropped off but it never was),

Very nice place to enjoy Memphis

  • 4 of 5

My family stayed for a week to explore Memphis. The condo is perfectly located to walk to Beale Street, and right on the trolley route to get to the Civil Rights Museum. It's even close to the bus line to get to the zoo or other tourist places. We walked to Sun Studios and St. Blues Guitars. We highly recommend both.

The condo has a well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, nice TV, and a pool table. But be warned. It is not a luxury hotel. It seemed like it was very much in the process of remodel. It's an older building that requires some compromises. The second bedroom with bunk beds is in an old elevator shaft! Some might be put off by that. We thought it was pretty cool! We loved the whole vibe of the place, and would go back in heartbeat. We communicated with the owner by email, and he always promptly responded.
