Very comfortable bed and sofa. Lovely breezes, beautiful view of the ocean only when standing. There is a hedge which blocks the view when seated. The wood made the interior very dark like being in a cave not enough sun coming through. The advert states that a car is available, a DVD player and there is an oven and toaster in the "kitchen", none is true. A toaster oven might be useful.

For some reason there is an uncovered window between the apartment and the garage which took some getting used to. The owner graciously offered to take me to the grocery the day I arrived, which was very helpful.

Owner's Response: The hedge in front of the patio is giving the apartment the privacy and safety while the doors are open. The floors in the apartment are wooden, the idea of the dark floors is to give it a cozy feel, If you are already depress you won't like it, (as seen in the picture listed in the ad) A car is available if you are willing to pay the 350 US a week which is a special rate. A toaster is in the apartment as well. The uncovered window is quite high and no one can see through because the garage is always lock.

We chose this property because of the open concept, the shaded porch, and the economy. We were not disappointed. It has a great 4ft round shower. With the front door open, a comfortable air flow is created. We only used the AC at night. The landlady is amazing. There is absolutely no need to be concerned. We are 15min walk thru the sub division to the bus. It does not seem long as you talk to the neighbours on the way. Bus to Oistens and the shaded public Miami Beach 18 min. Bus is crowded before 9 am and between 4&6 pm. Runs till 11. Med size grocery store at bus stop. Large grocery 10 min bus ride at emerald city. Cab back 20 BB. We stayed 1 month. Routine was 1 day in town. 1 day lounging. If you desire to walk on the beach early each morning, consider another location. This area, the oean rises against a rock face. Located at end of the tourist trail, 7 min past airport. Main tourist trail runs 40 km from airport to spiestown. 3 types of buses always on the go 2 bb/ride.car rental up the street. 100 us per/day, book ahead. Entertainment in the St Lawrence gap & Worthing area. Many hotels and entertainment open to walk in traffic. AWESOME landlady Marcia.

Lovely breeze and peace and quiet

  • 4 of 5

This place was peaceful, quiet with a nice breeze. Lots of towels provided and a lovely shower in the middle of the loft. Didn't have the TV for the first and last night which was disappointing as missed New Year's eve shows. I was very disappointed that there was no oven to bake a macaroni pie and no washer to wash cloths as we came from another trip and needed it. The bed was so comfortable and the porch so relaxing. Kitchen was smaller than I thought. Location of property breathtaking! Thank you for everything!

Quiet and Quaint

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly as it was described. The solar shower was a good touch. The property was clean and well maintained. Marcia was most gracious. I would recommend this property to others. The sun rise and sun set from the veranda were breathtaking. I had friends staying at the Crane which was close to this location.

Stunning views, constant breezes, friendly locals, slow-paced and relaxed neighborhood.

From booking to the day we left Marcia was a gracious and flexible host. My husband and I arrived late to the island and Marcia was kind enough to show us to our rental from the airport. Further than that, she told us of the best places to visit, Oistins, Crane Beach, Bathsheba, andDover Beach. The rental has just about everything you would need, I think a toaster oven would be a good addition to the kitchen. This was a beautiful island to visit, I can't wait to go back!
