About Don and Debbie Ipson, Owner/Property Manager

Born in Northern Wyoming, served in the US Army for 22 years. Married with 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren. We love this small town of Junction where we can get almost anywhere on a 4 wheeler. We love meeting new people and providing a warm and welcome cabin for the adventurer.

Why Don and Debbie Ipson, Owner/Property Manager chose Utah

The Sportsmans Hideout is within 60 miles of Bryce Canyon and less than 100 miles from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. This cozy cabin is quiet, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We provide an assortment of snacks for the weary traveler and cold water in the fridge. We want our guests to know that we appreciate your business! There is a fire pit with wood provided and an outhouse for convenience. At this time, we do not offer Wifi, however Wifi is available in certain areas of our property. We are currently building our home where the cabin is. When that is done we will be able to offer Wifi. Don't know what to see or do? Please ask! You won't be bored!

What makes this cabin unique

Junction is a quiet little town off the grid. You can ride your 4 wheeler from the cabin all around town or a 10 minute ride to the mountains. There is a lot to do here without any stress. The people are welcoming and friendly. The benefits of having on-site owners are better security, ability to offer Wifi and availability of owners to answer questions, give directions, etc.

Very disappointed.

  • 1 of 5

I wish we could get our money back. Cute little house but pretty much in someone's backyard. The surrounding area offered no site seeing. We didn't check in or go inside pretty run down area. Probably nice people to rent from but shouldn't be on VRBO.

Owner's Response: I find it very disturbing to receive such a bad review from someone who didn't even stay. What is run down? The cabin is 1 year old, hardly run down. Yes the cabin is located in the residential area of town on our personal property. We are building our home there so the property is in disarray. When we are finally living there, it will mean better security and ability to offer Wifi. Junction is a very old town with a lot of history. Some properties need attention but the majority are well maintained. This community mostly makes their living in farming and truck driving. No sight seeing? You should have asked us or the local people. You can spend weeks here just seeing the old mines in the hills. I'm sorry our little area and cabin were not what you were looking for. I invite you to see us on another site and read the reviews from those guests. As far as feeling like we shouldn't be on VRBO - I served my country in the Army for 22 years to ensure my right to advertise here, as well as your right to choose not to stay and give us a bad review and hurt our small business. Perhaps in the future, you should research the areas of your travels before booking a room where you don't really want to be.

Quiet and cozy

  • 5 of 5

Cabin is comfortable. The owners were very nice and helpful with area attractions . The town is eerily quiet at night. We slept with the windows open and listened to the coyotes after sundown and later heard the cow elk calling their calves. Junction was a great launching point for us to travel the mountain pass roads surrounding the area and the national parks and national forests as well. We will absolutely stay here again.

Cute cabin

  • 4 of 5

This cabin is cute and cozy, but small. We had a baby in a pack-n-play and just barely fit. Definitely only a 1 or 2 person place to stay. But it was clean, cute, and the owners were very helpful and accomodating.
