Relaxful stay and it felt like home with a view

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this rental as part of a journey to see the Rocky Mountains National Parks and it was an excellent choice. This home was beautiful, clean and provided plenty of space for two adults and our two teenagers on a long road trip. The home was in a subdivision but had much separation from other homes. Terrific views of the surrounding mountains - the owner provided binoculars for us to try and spot wildlife in the distant hills. There were three bedrooms and two 1/2 bathrooms and the master bath was terrific - I loved the double shower. There was also a study. This home also had a large garage which was great for loading and unloading the car with ease and convenience. As I mentioned, this home felt new and was very clean - no smells at all. There was a full complement of cooking utilities and pans for use. I loved the African artwork in the living room. The drive to Grand Tetons was longer than we'd like but since we drove through them from Yellowstone we decided to not drive back and instead we enjoyed a full day relaxing in this comfortable home. There were restaurants several minutes away, my wife and I drove to pick up some pizza and pasta and we brought it home for a nice family meal in the dining room with a view of the hills from the window. And everyone we ran into in the city of Alpine was friendly. The wi-fi worked well and it was much appreciated after experience slow-to-no wi-fi in Yellowstone. Check out instructions were well described including a checklist which we were asked to initial for each item.

Here are my positives:

*large-space home, plenty of room for families wanting space

*Clean - the housekeeping was spotless (and my wife is very picky)

*Washer and dryer is a big plus especially for long trips such as ours

*having an attached garage made unloading/loading a breeze (you can't get that in a hotel!)

*high-speed internet!

*terrific views

*master bath was top notch

*great kitchen for preparing home-cooked meals

*big yard (with some yard toys in the garage), but we never went out in it.

Things of note:

*road in subdivision is gravel - car will get dirty driving here

*If you choose to stay here to be near Grand Teton NP, the travel time is nearly an hour

*no TVs in two secondary bedrooms (while that shouldn't be a big concern on a vacation trip, having electronic entertainment is very important when teenagers are in those rooms)

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. I'm so happy to know you enjoyed all the special features of the house. It is one of a find, homey, comfortable with an amazing location. Also, thank you for your kind words regarding the cleanliness - I will let the housekeepers know! Great to know you enjoyed your stay after some long treks without the "creature comforts" you found here, the relaxation and beauty right from the house. Look forward to your visit in the future.
