About Sigrid Marmann

I'm a realtor in Las Vegas for a few years. I was raised in Germany and enjoyed traveling to many parts of Europe. My dream was to come to San Francisco, California , from where I later moved to Marin County before I moved to LV. I worked as an independent contractor for some of the major corporations, was a software developer with integrated electronic banking, before I changed my career to become a Realtor. I like traveling, reading, hiking, swimming, music, baking among other things.

If you feel that you would have a great time in my house, just contact me and we take it from there. Thank you.

Why Sigrid Marmann chose Spring Mountain Ranch

I loved the area in the northwest with its gorgeous mountain views and proximity of hwy 95 and CC215, and yet it's quietness from the buzzling downtown and strip area. It was a new construction, I had some input to the inside layout, was able to put in a pool/ jacuzzi and with the garadeners assisted in the design of the backyard to make it my dream home.

What makes this house unique

The house still has the beautiful mountain views, it's an oasis with it's palm trees, flowers and luscious landscape. It is also close to shopping, casinos and restaurants, sighseeing at Mt. Charleston and Red Rock Canyon with it's well maintained hiking trails for all levels of hikers and mountain climbers. Just 2 minutes away is Tule Springs (also called Floyd Lamb Park) where starlets during the 1930s - 1940s waiting for their final divorce entertained themselves with dancing, parties, swimming, riding and fishing.... fishing is still active today in 3 natural lakes framed by mature trees, picnic tables, barbeques and permanent guests like ducks, geese, peacocks and many others in this lovely state park. If you drive a few miles further north on hwy 95 you will see on your right the Paiute reservation and still a bit further north you can take the exit to Corn Creek. There are some really nice meandering trails which take you over and along the creek, several ponds, by some historic ranch buildings, and under shady trees. This is a pastoral area, which was inhabited in the 1700's by Paiute Indians, by Mormon settlers in 1850's, pioneers and ranchers in 1900's (wagon/stage stop), and purchased by the Govt in 1936. Corn Creek is a nice little destination for children, older adults, and anyone who may not be aware of life in Southern Nevada beyond the neon and casinos. If you drive a little further north you will come to the Best kept Secret in Las Vegas: Wild horses at Cold Creek. At 6,500 feet you’ll find snow covered mountains in Cold Creek, NV until around the end of April, the home of wild horses. To learn more about them, you have to drive there to enjoy and marvel at these wonderful animals.

We use VRBO often. Always a good experience till now

I don't write bad reviews very often. It is not something I like to do. I would prefer to be positive. But we were duped. Intentionally.

I was going to give it 1 star because we were allowed to check in early. But seeing as she was at the door at 7:45am on check out day to see us off ("Bums Rush"). I decided no stars.

The house is misrepresented by the pictures. The owner is a Realtor. She definitely hired a real estate photographer. Realtors know how to disguise negative aspects. This was a fine example. We are thinking it may have something to do with the favorable reviews also. They are just not accurate.

It is, by far, NOT a quiet property. It backs up to a busy intersection. Traffic noise starts around 5:30am.

The house is VERY dusty & stained. Most of the furniture and carpeting have stains. The carpet stains are covered with area rugs & bathmats. Even the lampshades in the bedroom are stained. Felt like we were in a cheap motel. A steep cleaning charge led me to believe that the house would be clean when we arrived. It was far from clean. I wish we could post pictures here.

#1 complaint: The owner stayed, in a bungalow, on the property while we were there. My wife was informed of this only after we arrived. What are we supposed to do at this point? Find a new house? We had a busy 5 days ahead of us. No room to sacrifice a day searching.

It was creepy. A window in the bungalow has a cleared view of the hot tub. Zero privacy. The first night she was wandering around the backyard with a flashlight because the hot tub jets were left on - we were being watched. No hot tub after that.

This is the owners primary residence. She moves out when she has it rented. She leaves an incredible amount of personal belongings behind. The kitchen cabinets and pantry are full. Closets are filled with what has to be most of her wardrobe. The freezer is packed. No room for anything unless you rearrange it (her suggestion). A bag of ice won't fit (ice maker is broken btw). There are medications bottles in the bathroom and so on..

Luckily my nephew lives in the area so we spent the majority of our relaxing time at his house.

I tried to talk with her about the cleaning fee upon check out. She refused to believe her house was dirty. I offered to walk around the house and point certain things out. She gave me a nasty look, shook her head, turned and walked away. We are forced to dispute these charges.

Well-equipped, comfortable and quiet

  • 5 of 5

The house is situated in a quiet part of Las Vegas, but convenient for grocery stores, restaurants and freeways to wherever you want to go. The beautiful back yard with swimming pool is a great place to relax and is quite private. The house is well equipped, especially the kitchen, which has everything you could possibly need. Sigrid is a knowledgeable and friendly host who has provided plenty of information about local attractions to peruse. I would gladly stay there again if I came to Las Vegas.

Owner's Response: Hello David, Thank you for taking the time to write a review which will help future guests making a decision. It was a real pleasure having had you as my guest, quiet and friendly. The house was left in a very clean condition. I'm glad you enjoyed your hiking here in LV as well as in Utah. As a hiker you know that there are so many more hiking trails to explore. So I hope you will come back again to enjoy some of them then. Finally, Mt. Charleston is covered in snow. Looks so beautiful!! Best Regards, Sigrid

a great respite from the las vegas "scene"

  • 4 of 5

I traveled with a friend to visit family and we enjoyed our stay at Sigrid's home. This is a beautiful, well maintained, and spacious home and the surrounding grounds are lovely and the neighborhood quiet. I went for long walks in the neighborhood and the views were wonderful of mountains and desert. Sigrid was very nice, and we appreciated her regard for our privacy, but she was also always available if we needed her for a question or concern. it was the great place to stay to have access to Las Vegas but not have to live amongst the hustle and bustle of the strip.
