Wonderful environment, great view
This is our second year of staying here. Had another fantastic stay. The window situation is a bit difficult- some don’t work at all, or super hard to get open and the master slider and screen are dangerous- cut my hand trying to close the screen. Also master bed spread could use washing. But everything else was wonderful!! It would be great if there were binoculars there.... Thanks!
Thank you for staying with us in Sea Ranch! We are so glad to hear that you've enjoyed your stay with us. I have notified our team to double check the windows and the screen doors to avoid any more hassles.
Our sheets are washed after every guest departures and we will make sure that this is double checked.
We hope to host you again soon, thank you!
Old School Sea Ranch
This home is simple, elegantly placed for blue water views, and good for unplugging from the digital world (no internet). Deer, wild turkeys and foxes are your entertainment. Good star gazing at night from the hot tub, or turn out all the lights and get a grand view from the living room. The weekend of a planetary alignment we could see Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, and Venus from the living room window! We also watched the Perseid meteor shower in August from this home. No direct views of the sunset in summer, but perhaps it is different in winter. Grab a glass of vino and walk 7 minutes to the bluff to take in summer sunset views.
Great location, a bit run down and dated decor
The views were amazing and the living room was cozy. The hot tub was nice and the bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. Overall the house has not been update for years. The kitchen counters are delaminating, the shower knob fell off, my husband had to re-attach it. No kitchen towels to use for doing the dishes, limited wine glasses and hardly any hot water in kitchen. The blinds in the master bedroom do not open all the way out to the patio to the hot tub. . Also they should upgrade to include wifi.

Sea Ranch # 819633 - Kaye Home
First impression going in driveway, house looks deserted. You have to unload your vehicle and walk thru knee high weeds to the front of garage path to front door. To use the hot tub you must also brush past weeds to get there (I even pulled some of the taller weeds to help the ocean view). There are 2 chairs at the hot tub area, one is broken in the overgrown weeds and the other is so rickety you wouldn't want to sit in it. There are two dirty stained chairs on the upper deck area.
The house inside is very nice and clean, however the downstairs heat never would come on. (I had it at the highest setting of 9 for the entire time we were there and the temp was low mid 60's every morning).

Beautiful View, Quiet Area
I stayed at the property with three of my friends for the weekend. Very comfortable living room, full stocked kitchen, ocean view with a beach in (sort of) walking distance. It's very cool and cloudy in the area, which is a nice change if you stay in the summer. A couple things to keep in mind is the drive up Highway 1, while beautiful, has very windy roads and makes it somewhat difficult to travel up. And this property has no internet, plus nobody had great cell phone reception, so be prepared to to have no emails/calls for the stay. There's a small winery about 15 minutes away, plus Gualala is 6 miles up the road and has some restaurants and markets.
Great view but is the house is a bit tired.
I liked that the house was a bit more reasonably priced, however, the interior needs some love. Windows have failed, carpet old, and the entire place would do well with an uplift.
We are happy to hear your feedback. We will look more into your concerns! Thank you for sharing your experience and we look forward to hosting you again.
