Mary Cheung purchased this House in 1998
Why Mary Cheung chose Eagle Rock
because our place is a bit of a haven and very relaxing little hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the busy city life. Yet you are close to everything. I love that about where we are. Often I don't feel like I am in L.A. when home. It feels like I am in the country with all the greenery around.
What makes this House unique
I love the little twists and turns in the neighborhood. When you decide to go for a walk around the neighborhood you will see many charming sights and often other fellow beings, walking their dogs or kids! Friendly area. This was an area for the rich to vacation and hunt at in the early 1900's. the church at the top use to be a posh hotel with tennis courts and gardens on the ground. It is no a self realization church which is open tp the public and you can still go and visit and meditate on their grounds.

Quiet and relaxing
I stayed in Mary's property for the month of Feb 2019. It is spacious, comfortable and quiet. I loved hearing the birds sing outside every day. There is a patio to sit on when the weather is nice, and I appreciated being able to do a load of laundry every week rather than using the laundromat. Mary is very communicative and always responded promptly to texts. She baked me some nice treats, too! Parking is on the street, but I always found a spot either directly across the street or a house or two away, so that was no problem. I enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood, which has some great views over Highland Park, Glendale and the mountains. I would have loved to stay longer!
Oh Karen, it was an absolute joy having you here. We always had great communication, you made being your host a wonderful experience!
Cute lil apartment
My stay was nice, the area was quiet & close to everything I needed. Mary was very nice responded to all my questions quickly, she knew it was my birthday and left a card and a bottle of wine. The apartment is small but cool for two people. There was a problem with the shower but a plumber came by and fixed it. All in all I was comfortable I mainly wanted to relax & chill and that’s what I did.
Some of my favorite areas are: Highland Park , Eagle Rock , Glendale and Montrose Area. Old Town Pasadena is the Westwood of the eastern end and has an ice skating rink where Olympic skaters have skated at. Lots to do and see all around. I love little Tokyo and Chinatown, with its many wonderful shops and foods to eat. Dodger Stadium, Universal studios, all an easy commute when there is no traffic
