Cindy & Kent Stewart
About Cindy & Kent Stewart
I am a native of the Roaring Fork Valley. Born in Aspen Colorado before Aspen was a big resort town.
Cindy & Kent Stewart purchased this House in 1992
Why Cindy & Kent Stewart chose Glenwood Springs
My property sits above the Roaring Fork River and is absolutely a beautiful place during all 4 seasons of the year. We have gold medal fishing just steps out the door. My house is within GWS city limits although you have the feel of being outside of town and definitely in the mountains.
What makes this House unique
Located in the heart of Glenwood Springs and close to airports. We have 2 major hot springs here in GWS as numerous other activities available year round.
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
One night on the river
This is a great property overlooking the Roaring Fork River. It is clean and well-equipped with charming extras. We had reservations at a restaurant but cancelled them when we saw the beautiful deck and gas grill ready for our use.
Thanks to Cindy and Kent for our delightful evening. We hope to be back to Glenwood Springs in the future and will definitely check this property first!
Nice with a few exceptions
Our family really appreciated how clean and well furnished this house was. It is clear the owners have invested time and money in updating an older home close to town. It is in an ideal location with easy access to the main attractions of Glenwood.
Although the description says “gold medal fishing”, the bank is very steep and filled with burr bushes. Not an easy location to fish from, especially when the water in the fork is as high as it is. However, easier access fishing can be found down the road a bit at a local park.
There is no central AC and only two rooms have window AC units which make the other rooms quite hot this time of year if you want privacy and not leave the doors open all night. The owners sometimes live on property on the first floor of the unit. They were there while we stayed and their small dog barked from 9-11 at night. Difficult for our kiddos to fall asleep with the heat and the barking. When traveling with a family of 5, sleep is everything.
We were happy to host you. So sorry that the temperatures were too warm when you visited us. We have very few hot days here in the mountains and it definitely cools off to the 60's in the evenings. We will install another small bedroom air conditioner. Fishing on the Roaring Fork River is highly recommended and has Gold Medal Fishing meaning you can only keep 2 fish that are over 16 inches. The Fork is definitely not recommended for family fishing or access while our rivers are high. The Roaring fork valley was blessed with an abundance of snow this year making it difficult to access the riverbanks this year. Once the river run off has gone down more then it is much easier to access. We apologize for the barking puppy. We had stepped out for dinner after working on the property and left the puppy at the property and had no idea that it was barking. We strive to make every visit pleasant and memorable and take our comments seriously. Please visit us again.
This was a perfect retreat away for my daughter and friend. Only wish it was one or two more days so we could enjoy the deck and the river more! House was lovely and quiet and had everything we needed. Will definitely look to book again! Thank you!!
Girl's Weekend Out 😉😉😉
Easy Peazy! Property was so comfortable, roomy and cool on a very hot weekend. Loved the decorating in every room! The 2 decks above the river were so relaxing and were perfect for four old friends on a short, weekend get together!
Thank you for helping us to have a memorable weekend!
Wonderful property right on the river and very accessible to all that Glenwood Springs has to offer. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a great experience.
A Relaxing Oasis!
A nice, quiet and relaxing home.
