Good Bones, Good Location and Some Things to Work On.
My family wanted a quick get-a-way for the Memorial Day weekend. We had three requirements....the Torreon membership must transfer, four bedrooms and at least three bathrooms. This property was one of the most expensive listed, but it met the requirements. Check in was very smooth as the owner sent over instructions a few days earlier. On arrival, we noticed the mailbox on the curb was knocked down and one of the small benches in the property was torn. We promptly let the owner know and then we checked out the property. There is a master bedroom en suite on the ground floor along with the great room, dining area, kitchen, laundry, powder room and the main deck entrance. Down a flight of stairs are the remaining three bedrooms, two baths and more living space. (If you are traveling with small children, note that the stairs to the lower level are right at the front door. We had to block the stairs off by moving some furniture as a gate would not work in the space.) No gripes here....our main complaint was the cleanliness of the home. The refrigerator had expired food in as did the pantry. The deck was filthy and my husband spend 45 mins blowing the deck off. The gutters were crammed. The area rugs looked like they were not clean in a long time. Light bulbs were burned out. The pillows were old. The kitchen utensils (no organization and scattered everywhere) and mis-matched pots looked like they were grandma's and then they were dumped in a second home. As I said, this property was one of the most expensive in the Torreon area. It should be pristine in all aspects when a renter arrives. Maybe now that the owner is aware of the problem, he will do something about it. It has great potential to be a five star home.
We were very pleased with property #746538 in Show Low, Arizona. We’ve rented multiple cabins in the area over many years, and this cabin ranks amongst one of the best we’ve stayed at. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. The furniture and amenities are modern and in great condition. The location off the Torreon Golf Course is very beautiful, and in a convenient location from nearby stores (and the Show Low area overall). The split level cabin configuration worked very well for our family, and there was plenty of space for all of us. The days we were there, the White Mountains area received a tremendous amount of snow. This cabin is obviously insulted very well, and the heaters worked flawlessly. The kitchen is also stocked very well (cooking utensils, pots and pans), so making family meals was very easy. Every room has large flat screen TVs for entertainment. This cabin is a GREAT stay!
This is the 2nd year we've stayed at this property for the Christmas holiday. Lots of space, well-stocked, comfortable, clean and well-worth every penny!
We stayed in this house for two months during the summer and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This house is equipped with EVERTYTHING needed for a short or long rental. The view of the golf course was great as we had every meal on the large deck across the back of the house. My wife and I used the attached golf membership just about every day we were here. Would not hesitate to return and would recommend for any group, large or small.
