I'm a mechanical engineer, currently living in Seattle. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, I've lived in Washington for over a decade and have spent most of my time somewhere between the Seattle + Bremerton area and Bellingham, where I graduated from WWU.
Evan purchased this House in 2016
Why Evan chose Bremerton
I bought this property because although much of it's original character had been covered up over the years, I could see the potential in this historic 1905 home. Built during the early days of Bremerton's history, it clearly had a rich history under the linoleum and press-board cabinets. Bremerton is surrounded by beauty with great proximity to both Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula. Bremerton has always had a rich naval tradition, but in the last decade it has also really come into its own as downtown has seen significant development and restoration, with a burgeoning art scene and new restaurants and breweries popping up all the time. The fast foot ferry has really been a big game changer for those wishing to commute to Seattle as well. 28 minutes each way to downtown makes the commute to Seattle shorter than driving from downtown to many Neighborhoods in the Seattle city limits during rush hour!
What makes this House unique
I have put a lot of love into restoring this house to its former glory and adding some of my own personal touches in the process. Besides the original architectural details like the columns, ornate front door and bead-board walls, my favorite feature of the house is the pass-through + built-in cabinet between the kitchen and the living room. Originally this had been closed off in the 90s to a small-doorway ruining the spacious flow and well thought-out layout of this otherwise cozy home. It was fun to build and really improved the space tremendously! I hope you enjoy spending time in it as much as I have!

Love this place! We will be back!
Just spent 10 days at this wonderful home! It was fantastic! The photos of this property are spot on! It’s as great as it looks. So many terrific touches for guests. The washer & dryer were fantastic and having a full service kitchen was great! Now, I didn’t use the milkshake maker, but it made me happy just knowing it was there! And this place was soooo clean. The linens were fresh and wonderful, the dishes were clean, and no dust to be found. There were four adult women in my party and we didn’t feel cramped at all. Loved the front porch and watching the neighborhood activity. Evan, the owner was great to work with. Super accommodating and attentive. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time at the bungalow. I’m originally from Bremerton, and this will be my new place to stay when I’m home for visits! (No offense to my sisters cats...)😉
This was my 1st experience with a VRBO and it was AMAZING!!! This is such a charming little place to stay, my mom and I enjoyed the Bungalow so much. It was clean, classy and felt like home 😊 the owner of this property thought of EVERY detail from Q-tips in the bathroom to coffee creamer and coffee pods for the Keurig. I would definitely recommend this ADORABLE place to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay. It was so comfortable.
Great amenities. Very clean and cozy. Close to restaurants and ferry.
Tastefully restored and stocked with thoughtful touches! Thanks again, enjoyed our stay.
