This is a wonderful little Chalet tucked away in the woods. Very quiet location. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here.
We had a great time at this cabin, which was relaxing and tucked away. It was a great change from city life, and very close to apple orchards, wineries, and breweries. Just note the cabin doesn't have wifi (which I see as a big plus) and also doesn't have towels, so make sure you bring your own. We had a hard time finding towels to buy in downtown Penn Yan.
A slice of paradise on a wooded lot tucked among the vineyards adjacent to Keuka lake. We enjoyed a nice long weekend exploring Keuka and Seneca lakes area. Definitely planning a return.
My wife and I had a wonderful couple of days here just after our wedding. The cabin is very nice. Driving to the cabin offers great views and is close to Penn Yan and some local wineries.
My fiance and I spent Labor Day weekend at Leslie's chalet in the Keuka Lake region and couldn't be happier. Leslie was super helpful and receptive to phone calls and texts regarding tips on what to do and where to go in the area, and anything that we wanted to know with our rental. The living room/kitchen/dining room is extremely spacious and comfortable. We made breakfast and dinner every day and ate on the back patio with the sound and feel of the forrest as our backdrop. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils for preparing and eating a meal, with salt and pepper available for seasoning. Any sugar or additional seasonings were brought from home by us.
The location was great, and directions within the app led us right to the house despite arriving near 2 AM. There is a firepit in the backyard that we made great use of, with firewood available for purchase at the end of the road (2 for $5 - great deal!). We did need to purchase starter logs and a lighter at the supermarket, as the trading post down the block did not carry any. We were a short 10 minute drive from the state park where there is a public beach, as well as a 15 minute ride from the boat rental we used (North End Marina - great deal and very amicable and friendly staff, including the woman we spoke with mainly, Autumn). Any grocery needs can be fulfilled at the Tops grocery store in Penn Yan about 15 minutes from the rental unit.
Overall, the chalet was a wonderful rental. We were comfortable, cozy and conveniently located to all of the lake's amenities. The ambiance of the surrounding territory is positive, and Leslie did everything in her power to make our stay enjoyable, relaxing and fulfilling by educating us on the area and answering any questions that arose along the way.
This is our second year renting this Chalet. It is a perfect place to stay. My husband could not come this time. My two close friends, Mini and Tom and myself enjoyed. I am even closer to them now after spending 24 hours a day for four days in this beautiful Chalet. Tom brought his bike and road 20 miles everyday. Mini and I took long walks. The weather was perfect! Tom discovered views around the Chalet that were breathtaking. The Curtis Museum was impressive! I always avoided it in the many years that I having been coming up to the area. You may want to also see the Boat Museum. There is so much history to learn about the area.
We enjoyed McGregor Vineyard. Bully Hill Vineyard has a fabulous restaurant and view you have to see!
We hope to go again next year during the changing of the leaves.
