About Diane Harrell
My husband and myself have been married for 19 years. We actually exchanged our wedding vows at Lake Walter F. George on April 1st. We have two daughters; one 29 and one 14, a seven year old granddaughter and a three year old grandson. We are both in the agriculture business and have been our entire adult lives. We attend church at Preston Baptist Church and are both active in our community.
Diane Harrell purchased this Mobile Home in 2010
Why Diane Harrell chose Georgetown
We have loved the lake since we were kids growing up on the water. After we got married we started looking for a place on the lake. This is the first home we purchased as a vacation home and we have really enjoyed the family get-aways. We have an 14 year old daughter that goes to the lake just about every weekend with us; she enjoys the outside activities and has made a friend with the neighbors grandson whom lives there year round. We are located on the end of the street and the traffic is minimal. We live within an hour of the house so we can be there pretty soon if there is a problem.
What makes this Mobile Home unique
We think you will fall in love with this home just as we did. The view of the lake from the sunroom is breath taking. There are the most beautiful sunsets and the mornings are peaceful and relaxing. There is wild life from the lake; geese, eagles and other birds and the deer, raccoons and other animals are right outside the door. It has the peace and quiet of the country life but close enough to Dothan, AL, Columbus, GA or Albany, GA to get away for a day of shopping and dining or just hang out in Eufaula, AL at the shops or antique stores.

Had a great time made good memories.
The house was very clean and roomy. It was furnished nicely and the kitchen had all the necessary items needed. The children enjoyed swimming in the lake, and the ones that liked to fish, was at it just about all day. Also saw a small alligator in the pond. We had a great cook-out and enjoyed catching up on family members that we don't see often. This is a place that I can see myself going to again.
Thank you for staying with us. Glad to hear that everyone had a great time. Hope y’all choose to come again soon.
Great lake house
We really enjoyed the property. Great location to country living and lake life.
Had a pretty good time. Caught some fish from the dock
Glad to hear y’all had a good time. Hope you return soon.
Very good location for fishing boating and swimming. Quiet at night and very clean. The only downside is the air conditioning is not sufficient to cool the house. But if that was improved it would be ideal.
Nice place to kick back and enjoy the view and Great fishing...
We are located just a few miles from a convenient store (Murphy's Place) that sell the basics along with non-ethanol gas. Murphy's Place also has a restaurant that is seasonal and open during the day.
There is a boat ramp within .6 mile of the house located on Patuala Creek public use area.
Ft. Gaines, GA is located approximately 14 miles south of our house and includes the Walter F. George state park. The parks have picnic facilities, a marina, lodge with restaurant, boat ramps, golf course, a beach area and lots of fishing locations. Ft. Gaines also has the old forts located in town that the kids love to visit and can actually go into and explore. There is also the dam that you can ride on from either the Georgia or Alabama side.
To the north approximately 10 miles is Georgetown. Georgetown has several convenient stores, an antique/flea market, a Dollar General, and Michael's Restaurant.
Just across the river is Eufaula, AL. Eufaula has the Pilgrimage Festival every year the first weekend in April. They have the tour of the antebellum homes, car show, craft booths and much more. There is shopping, dinning and several recreational things located here. There is Lake Eufaula which host several fishing tournaments every year. It has lodging, a restaurant, boat ramps and a marina.
