Why Eric Bellfort chose Palmetto Bay
Being avid gardeners in our home state, Palmetto has the look of a botanical Eden gone wild. Combine the jungled setting with the balinese architecture of the village's bungalows and what you are left with is sense of being in the South Seas.
What makes this Bungalow unique
This is our home. It has the flavor of real people, truly homemaking their way towards realizing their dream of offshore island living. Not only does every room in the house have peekaboos sea views (location, location, location), but our sense of caribe-esthetic pulls from both of our cultural backgrounds and creates an environment of serene inner paz.

It was wonderful accomodations for the week!
I truly enjoyed Palmetto Bay. It was one place I could totally unwind and rest up after a tremendously busy holiday season. Only suggestion would be to make sure and rent a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
For a timeless Caribbean experience!
Casa Pivina is a wonderful, cozy gem tucked away in the Caribbean's best kept secret, Roatan! My girlfriend and I spent a week exploring and relaxing in the island's warm embrace and I can't imagine more ideal lodgings for a romantic get-away. If you're looking for comfort, beauty, privacy...the sort of place that brings to mind the word "escape" then look no further! I have no complaints about the lodging itself and felt that all the components for an inviting, user-friendly home were all there. The staff at the nearby bar & grill were very friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions or lend a hand. Absent was the hustle and bustle of the more turisty areas such as West Bay. No crowds, no loud American voices; none of the bells and whistles we're so accustomed to. Just friendly Caribbean charm...and many song birds!
The best of both worlds
I just returned from a trip to Casa Pivina a few weeks ago and I'm already dreaming of going back! The location of the house is within easy driving distance of the impossibly beautiful beaches of West Bay and other attractions on the island, yet feels a world apart. It is truly a tranquil peace of paradise. The many screened windows allow cool breezes and tropical birdsongs to flow throughout the house, and the front deck is a lovely place to sit and read, drink a pina colada smoothie, or just watch the many colorful butterflies flit by. The location of the water (steps away from the house!), is also a bonus. My boyfriend and I found ourselves taking daily swims from right off the palapa dock, or wandering along the shore to discover hidden beaches. The house is very well stocked, and we cooked many of our meals, but the restaraunt and bar located near the property also serves delicious food, including some Honduran specialties. The staff were super friendly and even helped us plan our excurions and adventures around the island. The only problem? We didn't want to leave!
amazing island, amazing bungalow!
The water is beautiful, the cabin is perfect, and no crowds! It's peaceful enough so you don't feel like your in a tourist trap but not isolated. It's close enough to go to the tourist parts of the island if you so choose but when staying at Casa Pivina I felt like a celebrity with my own island and I never wanted to leave. The kitchen is well equipt if you want to cook but we mostly ate at the restaurant on the grounds because the food is amazing and the people who work there are so friendly. The bathroom is remodeled and lovely! The deck is perfect for morning coffee, naps in the hammock or evening coctails. I can't wait to go back!
