Welcome to Villa Ocean Pearl Bonaire. We purchased this villa in December 2014 from the original owners who had it built in the 1990’s. We fell in love with this precious gem which is located in the upscale quiet neighborhood of Sabadeco. The villa is situated on a private corner lot, just one block from the beautiful turquoise waters. Whether you are relaxing in the large great room, having a meal in the kitchen or just getting out of bed in the master suite you are treated to expansive ocean views stretching from Washington Slagbaai National Park located at the northern end of the island to the main town of Kralendijk.
Pass through the front gate, the neatly manicured garden and leave the world behind. As you enter the private villa, beautiful views on the Caribbean materialize through the ceiling to floor windows which open up to the veranda. The villa has a 12 meter veranda where you can unwind after a great day of diving, shopping or exploring. Dine, have a cocktail, watch for Bonaire’s Yellow-shouldered parrots or savor a beautiful sunset, catch the green flash if you’re lucky.
Our home pleasantly accommodates 6 people in three bedrooms which all have new air-conditioning units. Two bedrooms are located in the main villa, the third is located in an attached private suite. There are three bathrooms, two are en-suite.
The great room has a large dining table that seats six, enjoy a delicious dinner while watching for boats sailing by. There is also a living room area in the great room that is equipped with a comfortable couch, love seat and high back chair. Chat with friends, surf the net or watch TV on the new 42” flat screen television. Cable television and wireless internet access are provided.
Our kitchen offers counter seating looking out on the ocean, open the sliding windows and pass the evening faire prepared on the new oven to the separate dining area on the veranda. The kitchen is stocked with new dishes, glasses and silverware, everything you need to prepare a wonderful meal or an evening snack. The villa is equipped with a washing machine and an outside area for drying. There is an area with a rise tank for your diving equipment.
Dive/snorkel sites Andrea I and II are just a short walk from the villa. There is parking for three vehicles, more available in front of the house.
We purchased Villa Ocean Pearl from the original owners who had the house custom built in the 1990’s. Prior to July 2015, Villa Ocean Pearl was not offered for rent, this is why there are no reviews. Be the first to review our home, we’re sure you’ll enjoy your time with us.

We made arrangements to rent a car as well through the management company & they met us at the airport, loaded our bags in a taxi & were driven to the house where the agent met us with the car. House is exactly as pictured. Very close to Andrea I & II dive/snorkel sites. You could walk to them, I suppose, but it would be a wee bit of a hike. Drive there in 2 minutes or less.
The third bedroom & bathroom are accessed by an outside staircase. We didn't use it but just an FYI if you have plans to, you may want to put adults in it instead of children solely due to the fact that it's inaccessible from the interior of the house. The beds were comfortable & bathroom was more than adequate. One thing we discovered is the hot water is solar heated so it takes awhile to make it to the shower.
The kitchen is stocked very well with dishes, cooking utincels & tons of storage. Actually tons of storage in the master bath & bedroom.
There is a security system in the house & also a safe (we had some issues getting it to open consistently & had to enter the code several times). There were several beach towels provided.
The only suggestion I made were a couple beach chairs that could be taken with you could come in handy as a lot of the beaches are coral rubble & not a lot of places to sit. We aren't divers & I don't snorkel as much as my husband so there were times I was wishing for a more comfortable place to sit.
We had excellent food, reasonable prices & felt safe driving all around the island. Getting around downtown can be a bit confusing but by the end of the week, we were fairly able to find our way around.
The island is beautiful & well worth a drive around. There are a lot of things to see & do in addition to the diving/snorkeling.
We plan to return next year.
