Park yourself at Stay Alfred at Parker House

The apartment was fine. Several issues that, individually, would never warrant a poor rating by us, but... we arrived late on a Tues and Wed morning noticed supplies not in apt (dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher soap, cleaner for counter, measuring cups, cloth or scrubber to clean dishes, trash bags, etc). No big deal except, I called to ask about it, was told it’d be 24-48 hours. Friday afternoon, no supplies, so I contacted the number on the info in the apt. No response, no supplies ever received. Departure instructions state to run dishwasher, no soap so we did not and left a note. Did the dishes used by the previous renters get clean!?! Ugh.

The other concern was the security issue: I was attending a conference so went early (6 am) to workout. The workout room is in the lobby behind two locked doors. I had 10 mins on cardio equipment when a disheveled man came in and walked up behind me and started expressing frustration about several unconnected and confusing topics (sadly he was obviously mentally ill and homeless). Since I was alone and surprised, I exited as quickly and calmly as possible. Though this is not Stay Alfred’s fault, it added to the unfortunate circumstances of our stay. Though Stay Alfred repeatedly says to not contact management, I did at least let them know so they could take action for their tenants.

Again, it’s the cumulative effect of several issues that resulted in our frustration. Had anyone from Stay Alfred just responded to our requests, this would have been a positive review.
