This House provides everything needed for up to 10 guest to enjoy a visit to the ever-changing landscape of The Nations Capital. Located on a matured tree lined block just minutes from the Petworth Green/Yellow line Metro station.

The property is located in Columbia Heights, a very popular residential area of Washington. Its in walking distance to dozens of unique restaurants and bars that have patio seating and rooftop options. A slightly further walk will yield national restaurants such as Ruby Tuesday, Chipotle and IHOP. Also in the area is a Target, Z burger, Five Guys, and a great New Haven style pizza restaurant, great for families. The property is also 3 blocks from the major grocery store chain Safeway, and even closer is a local organic grocer chain. Guest enjoy this option for snacks or even for preparing there own meals in the fully equipped kitchen.

Mass transit - Metro is a 7-10 min walk away. Or a bus line, a few steps away will take you to the heart of downtown.

The space accommodates 8-10. There is (1) King bed in BR #1, (2) Twin beds in BR #2, (1) King bed in BR #3, (1) Full Modern Pull out Sofa in Living room, optional Full sized air mattress can be positioned anywhere.

Towels and linens provided. Keurig single/ craft serve coffee maker onsite with an assortment of K-cups. Additional K-Cups can be purchase at the Safeway Grocery store 3 blocks away

This suite has coded entry for self check in (3pm)/out (11am).

Free Garage parking available for one car. Free street parking with time restrictions is available. A visitors parking pass can be obtained from the local police precinct for the second vehicle.

Great place, great stay!

We are a school group that frequently brings students to Washington, DC. We have stayed in several locations around the city, but this is the first location to which we have returned. It is a great location, with an easy walk to Metro and Bus. Quick access to grocery stores, good restaurants. Owner was very helpful and very accommodating. Will definitely use again.

Great stay!

We stayed here over Halloween weekend and had a great time! Great location on a quite street. There was five of us and we all fit comfortably. Home owner very accommodating with check out and offered to let us hold our bags there while the house was getting cleaned for another group of people to stay.

Only compliant is the beds and pillows need to be updated. Both the king beds felt old and used a LOT. Wasn't the most comfortable sleeping. Great location though and it had everything we needed. We will be back.

Clean, updated, perfect for a group of 8

We had a group of 8 stay here for 4 days, it was perfect for us. We only had 1 car and parked in the garage, street parking looked difficult to find but not impossible. The unit was very clean and updated, and having 3 bathrooms was key for our large group. Derrick was very helpful. Good ethnic food just a block away. I recommend the red derby for brunch! We didn't use the metro since uber ended up being so much cheaper per person.

comfy, safe, and close to the metro

The house was just as advertised... comfortable, safe, and walking distance to the metro. (The metro is super easy to figure out and there are re-loadable metro cards kept in the house.) Everyday on our walk to and from the metro to get downtown we met some of the people in the neighborhood, all of them smiled and said hi or waved in our direction. We felt completely safe walking to and from the metro, which turns out to be about a half mile from the house with a slight incline in some spots. The grocery store is right outside the metro as well, so we could pick up some things every night on our way home. The house was super clean and well maintained... looks like a lot of work went into the house. The interior brick walls and woodwork are beautiful and definitely add some character to the house. There is a downstairs apartment right below the residence but we never heard a peep from them. Kitchen is fully stocked and the charcoal grill was super easy to use. We were worry free having a garage... we literally parked the car there when we arrived and didn't move it till we left. Oh and the house is only about 4 miles from the National Zoo... if you have little ones this is a must (although be forewarned the zoo is built entirely on a hill). I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat to a family that wants to stay close enough to DC but not downtown.

Nice house good location

Our family which consists of 6 adults and a baby had a pleasant stay. House was big enough for us to all have our space and the 2.5 bathrooms were wonderful. House is good location to downtown. Appreciated having a garage so didn't worry about parking and the van was somewhat cool when we started out as it was extremely hot when we were there.

Pleasant, convenient 4-nite stay for 6

Interesting renovated old row house, attached houses on either side. Small front lawn. Didn't use the rear yard. Nice to sit out on front porch and have a beer at the end of the day. Our VRBO was on two floors, creaky floors and inside doors that didn't always close easily.

A late June stay with some hot weather, nice to have ac but a bit uneven (one room to the next in upstairs bedrooms). Ceiling fans in two of three bedrooms helped. Master bathroom new and nice.

Place was as advertised. Remember no dishwasher! WiFI fine. Washer and dryer on the first floor.

Short walk to catch a regular bus line which takes you downtown DC. Metro a bit longer walk in other direction. Reloadable fare cards available at VRBO.

It was great to be able to use the garage to store our rental car on the last day.

Nearby restaurants and convenient stores are small and ethnic, near metro are more elaborate restaurants and a safeway grocery store.

Met Derric, the owner. Nice, helpful fellow. Helped our son get in (by phone) when he arrived first.

I would recommend it to others, just don't expect a hotel or resort type new construction.
