This House provides everything needed for up to 10 guest to enjoy a visit to the ever-changing landscape of The Nations Capital. Located on a matured tree lined block just minutes from the Petworth Green/Yellow line Metro station.
The property is located in Columbia Heights, a very popular residential area of Washington. Its in walking distance to dozens of unique restaurants and bars that have patio seating and rooftop options. A slightly further walk will yield national restaurants such as Ruby Tuesday, Chipotle and IHOP. Also in the area is a Target, Z burger, Five Guys, and a great New Haven style pizza restaurant, great for families. The property is also 3 blocks from the major grocery store chain Safeway, and even closer is a local organic grocer chain. Guest enjoy this option for snacks or even for preparing there own meals in the fully equipped kitchen.
Mass transit - Metro is a 7-10 min walk away. Or a bus line, a few steps away will take you to the heart of downtown.
The space accommodates 8-10. There is (1) King bed in BR #1, (2) Twin beds in BR #2, (1) King bed in BR #3, (1) Full Modern Pull out Sofa in Living room, optional Full sized air mattress can be positioned anywhere.
Towels and linens provided. Keurig single/ craft serve coffee maker onsite with an assortment of K-cups. Additional K-Cups can be purchase at the Safeway Grocery store 3 blocks away
This suite has coded entry for self check in (3pm)/out (11am).
Free Garage parking available for one car. Free street parking with time restrictions is available. A visitors parking pass can be obtained from the local police precinct for the second vehicle.
I am a Native Washingtonian, who grew up just minutes from the home. I completed my studies in New York and returned to Washington to witness its rapidly changing culture.

This space is a upper 2 levels of a spacious 1912 DC row home. Renovated in Sept 2014 preserving key elements of its historic charm.
Private entrance to this 2 level home with coded entry for easy Check-in/out & No keys to keep up with. A washer/dryer with detergent pods.
This house is in the perfect location to explore DC and them come back to a quiet place to relax. Derric was very responsive when we contacted him. We parked our mid-sized SUV in the garage and then didn't use it the whole time we were there. The metro is a short walk away and Uber was never a problem. The bathrooms were nice and the beds comfortable. It was great to have a washer and dryer. Overall it was a great experience. Thanks Derric!
4 ladies enjoyed a lovely weekend in this very comfortable home. Getting around was easy enough as the Metro stop is 10-15 minute walk. A secure garage ensured parking was never a problem and an Uber drive to downtown averaged about $15. The house was adequately furnished and supplied and oozed charm. I enjoy seeing older homes renovated yet still retaining original elements. It was a very comfortable stay and would do so again. If i have to make one complaint, it's there was no dishwasher, but again, there were four women, so.....we had it covered :)
Our group of 5 stayed for 8 nights, while doing the Marine Corps Marathon. Overall it had the amenities we needed, with laundry facilities, 3 bathrooms and wi-fi. Was a bit disappointed in the bbq since it was an older, small charcoal model (and admittedly we love our bbqing). The garage was handy for a rental car and was a bit tight but we fit a van or SUV in it. The walls are a bit thin being an older house, but the noise was less than we expected. We were satisfied with the place and fitted our needs, as we were just there to sleep or eat, and were on the go and sightseeing pretty much constantly. We even ended up arriving a bit early and the owner was easy to get a hold of and get us in a bit early as well.
Derric was very accommodating and i really appreciated that. Home was large and held all of us with no problem. Great location and safe neighborhood. I highly recommend
This was a great stay for the group I was with for the weekend. The only issue was the humidity throughout the house because of all the storms. Still an enjoyable home to rent!
We (husband and three teen aged children) enjoyed our 3 night stay at this Columbia Heights property. The location was convenient to the metro and we appreciated having the garage for parking our van. The cleaning crew was finishing up as we arrived, so the house smelled fresh and clean. We relied heavily on the Safeway grocery store which was close to the metro. The front porch was a nice place to enjoy a glass of wine and take in the activity of the neighborhood. We enjoyed conversation with the neighbor with the adorable twins! A good sweeping and cleaning of the porch, with perhaps some fresh flowers in the planter would go far to enhance the experience.
