This is a remarkable home located up Hobble Creek Canyon in Springville. Easy access from I-15 in Springville, just south of the Provo/Orem area. This wonderful home is an amazing retreat where families can gather and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mountains, yet still be close enough for excursions such as: golfing, swimming at the new Bartholomew Beach, mountain biking, hiking, four wheeling, and shopping. In the Winter, one can enjoy cross country skiing, world class snowmobiling, snow shoeing and skiing at the Sundance Ski Resort (60 min.) Great vacation accommodations include two master suites with individual baths on main, charming kitchen and dining and a two story great room. Two additional bedrooms upstairs and full bathroom. In the basement, you will find an additional 3 bedrooms and two full baths, kitchenette, and additional family room. Ping pong table, foosball table, outside basketball and children's playroom.
My parents built this house in 1998 as a 2nd home for their family. We kids had all married and had kids and we would all gather here at Hobble Creek for family reunions with all the cousins! We have so many memories of happy and wonderful times as we shared this time together. We lived all over the country and would always gather for a week in the summer up here in Hobble Creek and throughout the year. We had family hikes, family talent shows. family history nights, great golf games, fun shopping trips, craft afternoons and many excursions. We have decided to dedicate our home to "Family Reunions" and hope that you too can experience the joy and happiness that comes from spending time together and building family relationships and traditions.
TAMMY WILLIAMS purchased this cabin in 2010
Hobble Creek Canyon has been a well kept secret here in Utah. Housing development has been limited and many of the houses up the canyon have had to be built on 50 plus acres. It is a very peaceful canyon and is still very close to shopping and restaurants etc. Thus you see you get the best of both worlds!
Fun things to do here in the canyon:
Hobble Creek Golf Course is the most popular course in Utah County. It is a mountain course nestled in the canyon just 4 miles from the house.
Bartholomew Beach is a brand new addition. It is located at the mouth of the canyon and it has a beach and park that includes a fishing area, a swimming area, playground, restroom, parking lots snack shop and green park area. The swimming areas have a true beach with sand and a rock-lined shore called Riprap and it is all FREE.
Great Hiking Trails
Great 4 Wheeling and Jeep trails
Great Biking Trails
Sundance Ski Resort is located in the next canyon over for great winter fun which is about 1 hour away.
Snow shoeing and cross country skiing is also a popular sport enjoyed
We loved this house. The rooms were clean and all of the bedrooms were comfortable. It has beautiful views. The only complaint was no cell service and the internet was a little slow.
Because of a booking snafu, we needed a place in a hurry. We were wonderfully surprised and impressed by this location, the amenities and overall experience. Our large family had a super time, with children kept busy with the toys, videos, games downstairs, and the adults had time to be together on the main level. We went down the canyon two days and enjoyed Bartholemew park. We kayaked, swam, and just generally enjoyed our time there. We also visited the Bean Natural Science Museum on the BYU Campus, and the BYU Creamery. We split up one day, and some went to the Art Museum and some went hiking up to the hot springs. All in all, wonderful. Thanks so much to the Williams family.
Plenty of space for each age group of cousins to have their own activity and large enough for us to be together as a group. Our bed (one of the kings) was great. I suspect the others were too. Fully furnished kitchen with extra fridge downstairs. Nicely furnished. Nice view. I recommend this place for a large group like ours (21).
We had a great time. It would have been nice to have both decks available.
Tammy Williams was absolutely wonderful to work with and she was always extremely prompt in getting back to us with answers of our questions (did the kitchen have a roasting pan, etc). Tammy and her husband were truly absolutely and perfectly wonderful.
The family get away was exactly that--a chance for all of our extended family to get away and spend time together. We arrived to find a neat and orderly property. There were 6 couples total, all with kids except the grandparents. Each family had their own room and the older girl cousins claimed the downstairs room with the bunk beds as theirs. The rooms were all very comfortable and had enough room for younger children to sleep on the floor.
There were two large living rooms--one on the main floor and one on the lower level and so there were always places for activities, visiting, playing, reading, etc. When we were all combined for family activities and games the upstairs family room allowed for plenty of us for us all to be there together.
We made us of the basketball court multiple times--sometimes having to chase the ball down the driveway:) We ate out on the front patio and enjoyed the wonderful views. The house also had games and we were delighted with the toys we found that our 18 month old boy loved--trucks, balls, and other little fun items that were perfect. It was a private location and we absolutely LOVED it. I would recommend this property in a heartbeat to anyone wanting to get away with a large group or for a family reunion like we did. We did make use of Bartholomew beach down the road a bit for a fun evening out as well.
The only recommendation I would make is that the kitchen, while equipped with everything we needed and more, did not have a great set of sharp kitchen knives for cutting food items such as watermelons and bacon.
This cabin was one of the nicest we've stayed in, with spectacular views day and night of mountains and a star-studded sky! We were welcomed to this country mansion by a deer standing in the yard and we saw other deer and hawks during our stay. This cabin was the first that truly accommodated our six couples and 15 grandchildren with seven bedrooms, six with queen beds and one with bunks and trundle beds for the kids, along with dress-up and other toys. All the facilities were extremely clean and well-organized; the kitchen was large and well-stocked and there were extra chairs and tables that could be set up. There are decks front and back. While we would like to see more towels in the linen closet, a fully-stocked laundry room made it easy to wash up clothes or towels for those that don't like to re-use. We loved the two kitchens for meal preparation and food storage (especially the full-sized refrigerator in the basement that we stocked with drinks and fruits for the fooseball tourneys and midnight snacks). You can't beat this home for the price! A fabulous family reunion getaway.
Located in the beautiful majestic Utah mountains. Breathtaking views out all of the windows and decks. Well known Hobble Creek Golf Course and Springville (Barholmew) man made beach at the mouth of the canyon. Home is located just 20 minutes from the Wasatch front.
