About Bob and Sandy Hodge
We have owned this farmhouse since 1976 and love the four season beauty of the White Hall area. We live on the farm property in another home and want to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.

What makes this House unique
The White Hall area about 12 miles west of Charlottesville has spectacular 360 degree mountain views. It's a beautiful area for biking, walking and hiking. We have 22 acres with horses and some cows. We love the proximity to a number of excellent vineyards.

Beautiful location and beautiful house. We had everything we needed, including a beautiful deck outside. Sandy and Bob were helpful and available.
Family get away
I travelled with my 69 year old dad and 17 year old niece. I picked Wyndefield mainly because I thought my dad would really enjoy the atmosphere that an old farmhouse had to offer. And, he did! Its a spacious home with plenty of room. The views are great and we enjoyed being greeted by the horses each morning. The owner’s are very nice and we enjoyed meeting them. There are several wineries in the area that I would love to check out sometime. Crozet is an adorable town. We enjoyed breakfast at The Whistle Stop Grill and dinner at Fardowners. It’s a short trip to Monticello and Michie’s Tavern which we really enjoyed. And a nice drive to LuRay caverns and Skyline Drive. We even stopped at Daisey’s Diner/Cooter’s - a Duke’s of Hazard Museum, that was actually really cute.
Perfect getaway to reconnect with old friends.
We enjoyed our weekend stay at the farm house. The home was spotless and provided ample room for privacy and for coming together. The host was generous w/his time and introducing us to the home. The beds were comfortable. It was a perfect setting for getting together w/friends and simply relaxing. At the same time, the farmhouse is close to Charlottesville and the many wineries, etc. in the area.
Wonderful weekend getaway
My husband and I, along with another couple spent 2 nights in this location. It was extremely tidy and clean, beautiful property and extremely attentive hosts. They brought us a map when we mentioned we wanted to go on a hike and had plenty of recommendations. The location was ideal for a wine-tasting get-away. We would definitely stay again!
Beautiful, relaxing, inviting
The Hodges were wonderful.
The house was impeccable!
The views were magnificent!
Very Positive Experience- Great property and wonderful owners
I gave this 5 stars because it far exceeded our expectations. To confirm other reviews, the owners, Bob and Sandy were very friendly, helpful, responsive, and proactive. They e-mailed and texted us prior to arrival with suggestions on places to eat and hike and were waiting for us on arrival day to give us a tour. They take a lot of pride in their property and were a pleasure to deal with. The home is EXTREMELY clean and tidy. Sitting out on the back deck and looking at the mountains and horses just 50 yards away was wonderful.
I took my wife and twin 13 year old boys for a weekend getaway from DC and it was great. Superb hiking nearby on skyline drive and eating at Smoked restaurant was great as well. We didn't go to any wineries but there were many to choose from.
One review stated there was a road nearby...however, I hardly noticed any road noise. It was minimal and did not detract from the tranquil setting. Overall, this was an extremely positive experience for my family and I would definitely recommend this property.
Western Albemarle Tourism Information Center is located in the old train station with the Artists Depot. They have lots and lots of local information and maps. Beaver Creek Reservoir is 4 miles and is great for kayaking and canoeing and fishing
