About this property

Lake View Cabin!*Steps from the beach!*Hot Tub,2bed 1.5bath.

Welcome to "Lake View Cabin", our renovated Little black 1950's cabin with amazing Lake views, it doesn't get much better then this!!

Location! Location! Location! We are on the Lake side of HWY 89, one house away from beach and Pier.

This cabin has completed our dream by giving us an opportunity to enjoy an amazing panoramic view of spectacular Lake Tahoe all seasons of the year, in addition to affording us just a short stroll(100 yard) to the beach. We love the location and once you spend a few minutes out on the deck, you will see why we chose this property on the West shore, just steps from the beach….. Blue lake views all day long, Mountain views across the lake and surrounding area, pink sunsets on the beach and pier every evening, and night time ending with views of lit up houses on the lake.

Leave your cars behind.. Walk to our local beach and pier, Sugar Pine Beach, Tahoma market, coffee, the Dog and Bear Tavern, and even Chambers landing for there Chambers punch! Download the "Tart Connect" app and enjoy Tart Connect, free door-to-door shuttle service. A shuttle service offering rides on the north and west shore of Lake Tahoe. Download the app, request a ride and get picked up in as little as 15 minutes! Look on their website for more information.

Across the street is a Neighborhood Tavern; Dog and Bear Tavern; check it out on line(Yummy and Cute!). Enjoy the short walk to Tahoma Market and Deli with it's amazing deli sandwiches(great to take to the beach, on the boat, hiking, sledding or the snow slopes), Hot pizza(Pizza's are not always available), Coffee, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, most your groceries needs, wine selection. Across the street is also a Coffee bar, post office, ice-cream shop, sushi. West Shore market is another favorite of mine and just a 5 minute drive. They have yummy sandwiches and a beautiful little market, with a sweet little gift shop. Sunnyside Restaurant, lake front restaurant is next door to West Shore market; another favorite spot.. Super fun spot to eat out on the deck(make reservations), or first come first serve in their bar area. Chambers landing is an easy ride on the bike path or your boat; chambers punch is a hit there. They have a casual deck with yummy cocktails and small bites or make reservations and sit inside the beautiful modern/rustic restaurant and enjoy the lake view.. At West Shore Cafe you will experience the magic of Lake Tahoe's West Shore! Old Tahoe charm, fresh California cuisine(Make reservations). Fire sign Cafe is a great breakfast spot. And many other yummy spots close by; I would suggest looking on YELP.

You'll find our neighbors warm and welcoming.. Across the street is a cute little park and if you are lucky, you might catch a concert there. They seem to do them in the summer and usually post the schedule outside of the park. Hike and bike on trails leading to Sugar Pine Point, Emerald Bay State parks, all the way to Tahoe City with beaches, national forest, Desolation Wilderness along the way. A meandering paved bike path makes its way along the shore to Tahoe City, down the Truckee River all the way to Squaw Valley. We are one mile from Homewood Mountain Ski Resort--for fun family skiing with great lake views; *Free door to door shuttle services between 8am-5pm(531.525.2922) to Homewood ski resort during ski season…

Launch your boats in Homewood(Obexer's marina) and enjoy your waters sports(call them for rentals) and all the beautiful homes outlining beautiful Lake Tahoe.. Obexer's also have a market with yummy sandwiches and FReal milkshakes; a hit with the kids!

So many fun restaurant to enjoy on this side of Lake Tahoe, shopping, biking, hiking, boating, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, relax at the beach or just sit and relax on the Lake view deck.. Or hop in the hot tub and enjoy the view...

Hiking Eagle Lake is always a joy with the family too(little ones and older ones; about a 2 mile hike). There are so many hiking spots, just google away to find which one is right for you and your family.
Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park has a fun obstacle course and zip-line is supper fun(they book fast so make reservations).

When your ready to venture out, Squaw Valley village(25 min) is a blast with yummy food, drinks and activities; they also have an obstacle corse and zip-line. The kids can miniature golf, sky jump on the trampoline, and there is a rock climbing wall..
Northstar(45 min) is another spot our family enjoys with there nightly smores after a day of mountain biking, hiking, skating, skiing, ice-skating…
Downtown Truckee is a fun spot with shops and restaurants.

This cozy cabins location is as good as it gets on the West Shore with this view. The two bedrooms comfortably sleep 4 adults(2 queen size beds) and 2 kids(twin bunk bed/2 twin size beds). There is a fold-out queen sized couch in the family room. Each bed has new cozy cotton sheets and warm down comforters. Please no more than 6 people on property and no over night guest that are not listed on the rental agreement.

The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook for a crowd, BBQ outside. All brand new appliances. Keurig coffee maker.

Natural Disaster & Unforeseen Circumstance There are no refunds for natural disasters or other major events that are out of our control. We highly encourage you to purchase trip insurance to cover your stay in case of a natural disaster or other major event. Depending on the type of trip insurance you purchase, you are usually eligible to be reimbursed by the insurance company for the amount that we do not refund.

*** Weather & California Fire Season: unfortunately, wildfires have become a regular occurrence during fire season (July - Oct). As such, we recommend purchasing trip / travel insurance. We are unable to predict smoke and/ or air quality conditions and as such no refunds will be given for wildfires, air quality or other weather condition including snow storms and repercussions due to snow storms such as power outages, Wi-Fi disturbance etc.

WINTER SNOW SEASON: During the winter snow season the West Shore of Lake Tahoe can see a very large snow accumulation. 4 wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 6 inches or more) to clear the driveway, and a shoveling service to clear pathways prior to your arrival. Please note that snowfall can continue to accumulate between shoveling service and your arrival. Shoveling service is not provided mid-stay, however we do provide shovels for your use if necessary. If heavy snowfall happens during your stay and additional shoveling help is necessary, please give us a call and we may be able to arrange some assistance for an extra fee. Due to heavy snow accumulation in the area, the decks are not completely cleared and only pathway access is maintained. Please be patient as the snow removal services work to clear both county roads and driveways. There is no street parking allowed in winter. As always, let us know your needs and we will work to make your stay wonderful! Thank you! We are not responsible for Lake Tahoe weather changes / delays leading up to and during your reservation. In the event of a storm, our cancellation policy stands.

No smoking on property.

No pets on property.

Our little Lake View Cabin has been restored with so much thought and love, we know you'll have an amazing getaway. Please note: this is our private home (not an investment property) and filled with things that we love so please be respectful and treat everything with care.

CLEANING FEE: The cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning (e.g. bedding and laundry turn over, surfaces, floors, snow removal, etc.). Additional cleaning fees may be incurred for excessive mess (e.g. dishes, mess on the furniture/beds, etc)

A fantastic location and property
We cannot express how much we enjoyed staying in this lakeside property which was very easy to find. The home owners have a clear attention to detail with each room furnished to a high degree. The outside of the property matches the inside with clear instructions provided on how everything works. A very short walk down a hill will see you arrive at the private beach which has a short pier .You can swim in the lake which is crystal clear. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and would like to thank the homeowners for their hospitality.

Winter Wonderland getaway
My best friend and I are both moms of young kiddos and take a yearly trip without the kids. This one was so perfect, snowy hot tub hangs and relaxation. The neighborhood was so quiet, and we walked to the little market and restaurants nearby.

First Cabin Experience and Worst Birthday
This cabin rental was a disaster from start to finish. It was a two story cabin, but we were not informed that there was no safety gate for the stairs. My infant son fell down the stairs . There was no toilet paper or coffee in the cabin, even though they were promised in the pictures. We had to drive to the nearest store to get them ourselves. The front steps were iced over and very hazardous. My daughter and mother both slipped and bruised themselves. The back door did not lock securely, so we felt very vulnerable at night. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, and the towels were not clean. There were spiders under the beds and couch. The hot tub was a mess. It took ages to heat up, and when it did, it was dirty and had broken pieces floating around. It was a health risk. We were so fed up and unhappy with this cabin rental. We ended up leaving a day early. When we asked the owner for a refund, they were very hostile and unprofessional. They denied any responsibility and made is feel like we were lying or exaggerating. They gaslighted us and made us feel like we were crazy. They are the worst hosts ever. Do not book this cabin rental. It is a rip-off and a nightmare.

Tahoe getaway with the grandkids
This was perfect for us and our grandchildren. The property was just the right size for the 4 of us and perfect to walk to the beach where they spent lots of time swimming. Close to other activities we wanted to do too. We had a wonderful time. Perfect location for us.

We live in beautiful Santa Cruz County. The most important thing to us is family, cherishing every moment together. With all our busy lives, Lake Tahoe always seems to be the place we breath, enjoy each other and life a little bit more.

Why they chose this property

We have a family home in Tahoma just up the road and this amazing property has completed our dream by giving us an opportunity to enjoy an amazing panoramic view of spectacular Lake Tahoe all seasons of the year, in addition to affording us our own little bit of private beach. When this adorable cabin came on the market, we were made aware of it in time to make it our own within hours. We love the location and once you spend a few minutes out on the deck you will see why we chose this property on the west shore…..best shore!

What makes this property unique

I took a picture of the rental sign in the past thinking it would be a perfect spot to rent if the other family cabin was too full (we try to book the whole family Tahoe trips together and sometimes there will be 22 of us in Tahoe; and right now there are 15 of us…) My husband and I were looking at the property next door years ago to possibly buy, so when this cabin came available it was a dream come true!
My two little boys LOVE crawdad fishing on the pier below, swimming and jumping off the pier when younger and now love, wake surfing on the lake morning and night, snowboard, jump off the big rocks at DL Bliss, ride there bikes on the bike path, travel to other bike jump spots(One in Truckee, incline and South Shore) and family dinners with game night. I love relaxing on the private beach and watching the kids play and soak in the beauty of lake life… I also love walking back to the cabin to bring lunch for everyone down at the beach, or getting a quick snack and cocktails for everyone; and its just a one minute walk down.
Its also a great spot for paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking or getting picked up by the boat at the pier…. Winter time there is door to door transportation to Homewood Ski Resort which we love… All in all, we feel so blessed to have added this gem to our family.
