Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 5 nights

About the property

Pacifico means peaceful and peace is just what you'll experience when you escape to this enchanted retreat. Pacifico is a serene adobe located in an unspoiled valley between the town of Taos and the Taos Ski Valley. The home features wood lattila and viga ceilings, radiant heat saltillo tile floors and a classic kiva fireplace. Set on a full acre, with panoramic views of the southern Rocky Mountains, the grounds feature coyote fencing, stone patios, rock gardens and private hot tub for those cool Taos evenings.

The ever so comfortable interior invites relaxation with, cozy sofas, deluxe bedding, plush towels, and a well-appointed kitchen. This lovely home sleeps 6, with a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the 2nd bedroom and a full size sleeper sofa in the living room.

Taos is a four-season paradise and Pacifico is an idyllic retreat, perfectly located just far enough from the crowds but offering easy access to all the area can offer. One visit and you will want to return again and again.

About Randy Phillips

When we married, we chose this area for our honeymoon because we both loved northern New Mexico. Throughout the years we explored the state particularly seeking all the Anazazi sites. Then we followed the Tony Hillerman novels visiting the places where Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee solved great crime mysteries. Several years ago while volunteering at Ghost Ranch, we decided that Taos represented the best of all of New Mexico’s charm. We took an afternoon to drive up and see what might be available to us as a vacation home and we actually found this house in less than two hours! Since then, Pacifico has been a great retreat for our family and friends.

We hope you enjoy all that Taos and Pacifico offer you. Please feel free to leave your comments and your name and email address if you want to receive our occasional updates on Taos and its events.

Why Randy Phillips chose New Mexico

The solitude and the views!

What makes this house unique

Quiet dead end country road.

Pet Policy: Only small (under 30 lbs) dogs allowed. Pacifico welcomes small dogs as guests, too, once a pet deposit is received. We ask pet owners to be responsible for these conditions: 1. Taos county requires that dog owners use leashes when dogs are walked. Please be aware that we have coyotes as neighbors. Should you walk your dog early in the morning, you might encounter one. Having your dog on a leash protects both of you. 2. When you leave Pacifico, either take your pet with you or crate it. Dogs should never be left unattended in the house. 3. Your pet might enjoy the courtyard area when you are in the house. Unfortunately, we do have both coyotes and large dogs that occasionally roam our area in the day, and we have actually had a large dog leap over the courtyard wall. So, please be mindful of your pets when they are in the courtyard. Please “scoop the poop.”

Enjoyed the house. The little courtyard was convenient for our two dogs. Nice view from hot tub. Well stocked kitchen. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

The house was very spacious and had an amazing view. There were only 4 of us but it could have accommodated 6 without feeling crowded. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We have no complaints and would definitely recommend to others.

Nice House well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We had 4 people on a ski trip for 5 nights. The house is comfortable and it has anything that you need if you plan to cook and entertaining at home. Hot-tub has a great view of the mountains.

Very cute home, great views, great location!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it! The furnishings are very decorative and the owners have thought of many of the "small things." There are great views of the mountains, with the house located outside of Taos by a couple of miles--out of the hubbub! We can't praise this home highly enough. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home, great location for us, nice view

  • 5 of 5

The home is beautiful and has a great layout. We were very comfortable there! The view, especially from the hot tub, was great. The kitchen has everything you need to make a meal, which was so nice. This is located and the intersection where you go right to go up to TSV, left to gorge & brewery (great beer!!), and DT Taos is behind you. We will definitely be back to this property the next time we're in Taos!

Ps: if there could be a shovel left (to dig the way to the hot tub), that'd be excellent. As well as some fire starter stuff - it was hard to get a fire lit.

Overall, great! Thanks for sharing your home!
