This beautiful new East Hampton home, built in 2015, is in an ideal location, only a mile from Sag Harbor Village and great restaurants, and close to both bay and ocean beaches. It features 2 master suites, a queen bedroom, a twin bedroom, an office, and a separate media room with 65" smart TV. There is a beautiful 44' swimming pool and plenty of outdoor lounging space. The open living plan is perfect for families. The home is adjacent to hiking and mountain bike trails, close to kayaking, and only minutes from a NYS public Golf Course at Barcelona Neck. Enjoy sailing and boating nearby in Sag Harbor. EH Rental Registry #16-67
My husband works in town government, and our children were born and raised here in East Hampton. I've been a teacher in the local schools for over 25 years.
Marilyn Van Scoyoc purchased this house in 2015
We built our dream house in 2015, and love the private location in East Hampton, but just minutes to great restaurants and boating in Sag Harbor.
There is a beautiful large front porch with comfortable couches, and ample decking and patio space for lounging in the backyard, around the large swimming pool. In the evenings we enjoy watching movies on the large screen tv, or playing cards and games in the media room.
Being NYC dwellers, we decided to host friends in the Hamptons for Thanksgiving. We were a large group of 9 adults (working professionals) and the house exceeded expectations by far. The instructions we were given to enter the house were easy to follow without a problem, and we were greeted with such a lovely welcome message with bottle of wine and Godiva cookies - so thoughtful!!! The kitchen was well stocked with appliances including blender, hand mixer, and waffle maker, as well as kitchen utensils like spatulas, tongs, etc., much needed for cooking Thanksgiving dinner. The bbq outside also had a full propane tank, which we also used. The gas fireplace in the living room kept us all nice and toasty. The bonus room was much appreciated for poker games late into the night. The house itself was a design straight out of HGTV (the bathroom tiles!). It's about a 10-15 minute drive to Stop n Shop for groceries, as well as local restaurants which was super convenient. It's also about a 30-40 minute drive to Montauk - recommend checking out Montauk Brewing Co brewery! Overall, we were extremely sad to leave such a beautiful house. We hope to visit the Hamptons again soon! Thank you Marilyn for such a lovely stay!! I cannot say enough good things about our trip and stay :)
Gorgeous huge home with all the amenities you'd want. Centrally located and easy to get to. The owner Marilyn even had a welcome gift of wine and cookies upon arrival! Highly recommend for family or friends.
I must agree with the previous two reviews, this home is both perfect and too good to be true. The pictures on the website do not do this home justice. It is even larger and more beautiful in person. We had two families (four adults and four children) and we fit just fine with plenty of room to spare. The children swam in the pool every day. The backyard was large enough for the kids to run around. The owner, Marilyn, was very accommodating. We had wine and cookies waiting for us when we arrived. It truely is a wonderful vaction home!
This vacation home is too good to be true! I have stayed at this home twice and both times, I was blown away about the location and the home's features. The property is brand new! To be honest, I was hesitant to rent a house but this house surpassed any expectations I may have had. I can never seem to get comfortable in what many times feels like someone else's space. This home was clearly well-thought out, designed, and executed in its layout. Marilyn is the nicest person - we arrived and found a personalized note and fresh flowers. It was a holiday weekend, and Marilyn was accommodating to my grocery delivery time. As much as I would love to keep this property a secret, I would highly recommend to family and friends! We only left the house once to get ice cream all weekend! We hope to become regular guests! We've had two dreamy experiences! Can't wait till our next trip!
This house could not have been more perfect. We were blown away by how clean and new (brand new!) everything was. And huge! It's a relief to walk into a house and have so much space and light, especially if you are coming from the city. It's very well stocked, beautifully decorated. High end appliances and decor throughout. Extremely comfortable and quickly felt like home for our three week stay. Marilyn was incredibly accommodating (thank you for accepting my Christmas packages ahead of our arrival!) and genuinely cared about our experience.
I stayed at the house with my immediate family but had my extended family join (with their own little ones) for Christmas. There was plenty of space and privacy for everyone.
I can't stop thinking about the beautiful dining room table, huge and perfect for a special holiday dinner. And the seat next to the fire was my favorite spot (when I wasn't chasing around my 1-year-old, who was over-the-moon to have so much free space to run around in!).
I have both lived in EH and rented homes for short-to-medium-stay vacations. I never want to rent a different house again.
The house is situated among tall pine trees on 2.6 acres of land and is a quiet and private retreat. Across the street you can enjoy hiking and nature trails, and a short walk to the water. Excellent kayaking and paddleboard spots are less than a mile away at Northwest Landing, and the nearest ocean beach is Beach Lane in Wainscott. The house is only 10 minutes from East Hampton's Main Beach, named the #1 beach in the country by "Dr. Beach" in 2014. Don't miss the reasonably priced golf at the Barcelona Neck State Golf Course, only 2 minutes from our home. Just a few minutes away there is great public sailing instruction at Breakwater Yacht Club in Sag Harbor, and of course the beautiful Haven's Beach in Sag Harbor Village. Some of our favorite Sag Harbor restaurants include the Dockside (at the American Legion), the Beacon, Muse, Sen, the American Hotel, Page, LT Burger and II Capuccino Ristorante, just to name a few. Don't miss Big Olaf's on the Warf, or Buddha Berry's for great ice cream treats. Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theater has top quality productions, musical artists, and special comedy nights all summer long. Also, don't miss winning movie choices at the independently owned Sag Harbor Cinema. Finally, if you are looking for a gym or a great drop-in spin or yoga class, be sure to check out the Sag Harbor Gym on Bay Street, next to the theater.
