We enjoy our stay.
The property is clean and spacious, and is close to all the places we want to go. Highly recommended!
Good place to rest
I went with my husband and 5 kids we had plenty space to sleep, house was clean even tho last people left some food in the freezer. The tv has a fire stick but we never got it to work, batteries were dead. Other than that we had a good experience.
Clean and central to everywhere we wanted to go. Housed 6 guest with beds to spare.
Nice, clean and spacious. Badly in need of simple maintenance.
This review will cover both good and bad about our stay at this location.
First the good: We were able to stay about 1 block from our daughter's apartment which was ideal.
The location allowed family members to walk to my daughters apartment as desired.
We were also within a few blocks of the Hollywood walk of Fame, an (underground)
Metro Station, and 1/2 block from a convience store, a Thai restaurant and other
restaurants on Sunset Boulevard.
The place was very clean and had nice ammenities: Wi-Fi, Dish Network television,
furnished gas range, fridge, tankless water heater for lots of hot water, etc.
Now the bad: The main impression for me was that there is a lack of maintenance.
The mail slot in the front door was missing the flap which keeps out the cold air.
The windows are the "jalouse" type windows which are louvered and let in cold and
do not filter out noise. We were awakened by the neighbors unloading and checking
in at 2 am. Also, we heard helicopters and sirens throughout the night.
We stayed there over Christmas, and I know that L-A has a warm climate, but it was
rather cold and rainy our first few days. The heat is a wall furnace with no forced air.
The dining room table was nice, but the room was cold.
Also, there is no air conditioning which would be a drawback in summer.
Regarding the comment on maintenance: there were doors that wouldn't shut due completely due
to numerous layers of paint. Also, the shower curtain rod was not chrome, but rusty and left rust
on towels hung on the rod. The tub was a Jacuzzi type, but there was no control panel of it.
As far as whether I would stay there again, I think the location is great for
our family situation, but I am going to investigate other options if staying there
in winter again.
