This cabin is PERFECT for families, couples, and friends! Step into Pine Creek from your front lawn and hook a fine trout for dinner, put a kayak into the water for a memorable float journey, or just cool off on a hot day in the waters of Pennsylvania. You can also enjoy tubing, bird watching, biking, exploring, covered wagon rides and more!
In the evening, enjoy one of several fine dining establishments just minutes from the cabin. And to top off your day, relax in your private hot tub.
WIFI and satellite tv are free of coarse.
There are 2 raft and kayak rental places near cabin.
This cabin is also dog friendly!
The place was great. It was very clean and presentable upon arrival. It was nice having Pine Creek in the backyard. Their were deer in the yard every morning. This was our new Thanksgiving tradition, and everyone had a great time. The cabin was pet friendly, and the yard was large enough for our dog to get some exercise. We enjoyed visiting the neighboring town of Wellesboro. We fit 4 adults and 2 kids comfortably. Would definitely consider coming back in the spring to try our luck on some trout.
We enjoyed our stay at Life of Riley. It's a lovely cabin that is clean and comfortable. It was just what we were looking for to enjoy some time in the Wellsboro area. We would be happy to stay here during the summer months as well. Thanks for opening your property to us!
We only stayed for 2 nights, it was a quick last minute getaway. The place was pretty easy to find, even in the dark. The owner went and turned the house lights on for us before arrival which was very kind of her! The home sits next to the river with plenty of front yard to enjoy! I didn't see the eagle that was spotted just wks before us, but maybe if we had ben there longer. I kept looking :) I did see 2 doe come from the back somewhere and then cross the rd and plenty of birds.
There is a min rd right behind the house, I can't say it was busy, but I did notice traffic going by at night, but that could be just me. The kitchen is equipped with what you may need for your stay and there are a few restaurants near. We went to a nearby town for breakfast at the Native Bagel, get there early though! It's a hipping place during lunch. We were lucky and got there early. I would recommend the place.
The place is as described and clean. The owner was very nice and even though I didn't contact her for anything, I know she would have been helpful, as she was making sure the lights were on for our arrival after dark :)
There were kyak rentals near, but we didn't have time for it and it was cold being it was the end of Oct. We plan to go back to the area in the spring/summer when it's warmer. I would recommend this place after a few changes
The queen bed upstairswas not comfortable, my husband slept, but I had a hard time. The mattress needs replaced, I found it hard. I would also consider replacing the bed downstairs with a sofa bed. One that is a normal sofa but pulls out into a bed. on a rainy day, a sofa would have been nice to sit back in. Other then that, it's a nice place and we enjoyed it.
This home was extremely cozy. We loved the hot tub and the great location to the PA grand canyon as well as the river. Very clean and great response time from the owners.
Loved it and awesome place for pet friendly! Would definitely consider visiting again.
Life of Riley is a beautiful cheery place to stay. Clean, well maintained, comfortable, nice location. Plenty of room for our family of 4 adults and 2 children and especially nice for our sheltie. Fenced walkway and fenced area right outside made it special for her and easier on us to keep and eye on her and the children. Time at the cottage, making meals in the kitchen (a few baking sheets would be nice), sitting on the porch very comfortable (a small café table/chairs would be nice on the back deck), standing by the creek, sitting by the fire pit (a few extra chairs would be nice), relaxing in the hot tub, all very enjoyable as well as so many things to do in the area. Hiked both the state parks and along the rail trail and enjoyed amazing views of the PA Grand Canyon. Visited Kinzua Bridge, Kinzua Dam, checked out the stars at Cherry Springs, and strolled along the streets of Wellsboro. PA has so much to enjoy. Route 6 is a little noisy (especially with the windows open and not being used to road noise) but easy to forget about it when falling asleep after a busy day. Great outside lighting made us feel safe and secure when coming back to cottage late at night and during the night to be able to see all around outside. Highly recommend Life of Riley for a very comfortable place to stay. We certainly will return again someday.
There are many other activities, such as Biking on the Rails to Trails, along Pine Creek, Covered Wagon Rides, or hiking down the BEAUTIFUL Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.
