Relax and enjoy staying at Leaning Palms! This wonderful beach home is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom that sleeps up to 7. When approaching Leaning Palm it is evident that this home has been professionally designed and decorated. Entering the front door you will be met with unsurpassed decor that has a feeling of home. The first floor is a very open floor plan that includes the Kitchen, Dinning, and Living room. In the gourmet kitchen you will find all the utensils necessary to cook a full meal. Adjoining the kitchen is the dining room that has a very chic table with seating for 6. When finished with your family meal, walk over to the spacious living room and relax in the cozy living room. On the first floor you will also find the bunk room and one of the bathrooms.
When leaving the first floor you will follow a staircase up to the second floor where you will find the two King Masters. Both bedrooms have been tastefully designed with each having its own theme. All of the bedrooms in the house have flat screen TV's for you to use during your stay. On the second floor you will also find the second bathroom that is shared by the two masters.
The exterior of the home boast many amenities that are sure to make your stay very enjoyable. When approaching the home you will be welcomed by two amazing bed swings that are perfect for an afternoon nap. Walk around the side of the house and you will find an amazing outdoor table for 6. The house also has several other decks off the front and rear of the home for you to relax with a good cup of coffee. There is even an outdoor shower to wash off all the sand from your journeys to the beach. When you are ready for the beach the walk to the sugar-white sand beaches of the Emerald Coast is only 500 yards away.
Open the garage and you will find everything needed to keep the little vacationers happy. We have furnished the garage with two kayaks, a paddle board, bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, and corn hole boards (or "bags" depending where you are from).
This house is situated in beautiful Dune Allen Beach, Florida in the heart of Scenic Highway 30A just 10 miles from Destin to the west and 20 miles from Panama City Beach to the east. 30A is a scenic drive along the emerald coast that is speckled with unique artsy beach communities, each with their special flare and appeal. Seaside hosts weekly concerts and movies and has eclectic shops and great local restaurants. If you travel further east on 30A you will reach Alys Beach which also hosts weekly outdoor concerts and movies. Further east is Rosemary Beach, which again has unique shops and eateries. A 22 mile paved walking/jogging/biking trail extends the length of 30A and passes beautiful beaches, coastal dune lakes, and picturesque beach towns. Bike/kayak rentals, restaurants, and shopping are all within walking distance of the house. We are across the street from the sugar white sands and emerald waters that have been voted one of the top 10 beaches. Beach access (with parking, shower, and restrooms) is also across the street from our home.
Boutique shopping and dining can be found at Watercolor and Seaside, approximately 6 miles to the east. Four major shopping, dining and entertainment destinations are within 25 miles. Grand Boulevard’s restaurants and shops are only eight miles west. Just two miles further is Silver Sands Factory Stores with over 100 designer names. Continue west for 5 more miles to Destin Commons, a premier lifestyle center anchored by Bass Pro Shops and 14-theater Rave Motion Pictures. An easy 25-mile drive to the east is Panama City’s new Pier Park, a mega outdoor shopping mall consisting of over a million square feet of specialty shops, retailers, and restaurants - plus the 16-cinema Grand Theater.

Chic Designer Beach Cottage!! Just Remodeled! Steps to Sand!! Sleeps 7!
The first thing that left my mouth when we pulled into the drive way was WOW! This house looks just as good in person as it does in the pictures. If you are on the fence about renting this house, GO FOR IT! You will not be disappointed!
We were able to sit back and relax the entire week with out worrying about a thing! That's the only thing that we look for when taking a vacation and this house delivered. The (very cool) swinging beds were awesome!! I just recommend not to try riding the swinging bike LOL!!
This house was perfect for our vacation. The inside and outside were beautiful, and they had all the toys we needed for the entire family to enjoy the white sandy beaches. Management was able to help us with any questions that we had. Thanks guys!!
When we were looking for a house to rent in Santa Rosa Beach we were just looking for something close to the beach and something affordable. When we arrived to this house we were blown away by it! It is absolutely beautiful!! More than what we could have hoped for!
We had such a fantastic stay at the Leaning Palms, such a beautiful and fun house! Definitely a dream stay! Next year can't come soon enough!! We will be back!
If you are an entomologist you will love this renting this place. Tons of ants and bees swarm around you before you even make it to the front porch gate. Once inside you'll find a variety of roaches ranging from your everyday kitchen cockroach to your more exotic species that resemble a small crustacean.
Management did not air this place out before we arrived, so we were also greeted by the musty smell of mold and mildew. The AC system is controlled by a single thermostat that cools the downstairs much more efficiently than upstairs. So if you want the upstairs cooled, you will freeze downstairs. Some dusty box fans are made available for use upstairs. The floors were not clean, blackened feet within minutes of walking on them.
My biggest complaint by far is the deceptive way in which this property's proximity to the beach is described. The property description includes the following: "We are across the street from the sugar white sands and emerald waters that have been voted one of the top 10 beaches. Beach access (with parking, shower, and restrooms) is also across the street from our home."
The beach access is definitely not "across the street from our home". It is more than a quarter-mile walk so if you have young kids you will be disappointed to find this out when you arrive. I called the management company as soon as I checked in and saw a picture on the refrigerator with the path to the beach access marked, to verify that this is the closest point at which to get to the beach. I spoke with Ryan who said that the "across the street" description is a typo. I just checked the description again, and it's still there claiming that the house is across the street from the beach access. It's a lie.
Interestingly, the only photo posted at the time of this review that shows the house in relation to the beach is the one that fooled me into thinking that the house is close to the beach access. The photo marks the house with a red star, with the beach seemingly close by. Using this photo, locate the green house by the lake, on the left edge near the upper left corner. When you walk along 30A and get to that green house you're only half of the way to the Dune Allen beach access.
When I e-mailed the property manager about renting this house, I was asked to provide my children's ages - a toddler and an infant. At no point in any of our e-mail exchanges did the manager clarify how far this house is from actually getting to the beach.
