About Tim Kresica

As a lifelong business manager and executive, Tim Kres has achieved and enjoyed success within the building products industry. As a native son of Chicago, IL, his education and career path eventually led him to opportunities in both Florida and North Carolina. In 2014, the majesty of the Great Smoky Mountains beckoned him to Tennessee where he now lives and works as Resident Manager of Havens on the Ridge in Pigeon Forge.

Tim has always founded his work ethic on a dedication to rendering first-class products and services as well as fulfilling customer needs in an uplifting, positive way. With every undertaking and objective, he applies his belief that details are important. Havens on the Ridge reflect and confirm this belief.

Personally, Tim enjoys amateur photography….engages the great outdoors…..and embraces faith-based worship.

Tim Kresica purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Tim Kresica chose Tennessee

Eastern Tennessee's abundant beauty, tempo, and sense of community are enjoyable throughout four distinct seasons. Prompted by a lifelong affection for the Great Smoky Mountains, my search for solace led to a unique opportunity for developing an existing property into a mountain retreat for adults desiring tranquil and serene respite on a year-round basis. Havens on the Ridge offers both while simultaneously being ideally located a short distance from the towering majesty of nature's exploration as well as the entertainment and adventures of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

The property was originally owned by the Blackburn family as their primary residence and boasts a "gathering" cottage for special occasions. Their family tree includes Michael Blackburn who achieved notoriety as the World's Greatest Sharpshooter. It's history sparked a special interest within me, and each day I'm thankful to now call Havens on the Ridge my home as caretaker.

What makes this cottage unique

Beyond the tranquility, privacy, and comfort of Havens on the Ridge, we strive to ensure a "home-away-from-home" getaway. An onsite manager will welcome you and be immediately available for issues or needs that might arise during your stay. Complimentary "goody" bags await guests in each cottage; and, if desired, we will happily pre-stock your cabin with items of your choosing such as soft drinks, bottled water, and snacks (small service fee).

Quiet and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Mansard House. Tim has thoughtfully decorated and provided everything you could need or want, to enjoy wonderful retreat in the beautiful mountains. Tim provided great directions to the cabin as well as directions to activities and attractions in the area. If you wish to spend a quiet comfortable time in the mountains this is a great choice. We were especially happy that we could bring our dog and the fenced yard was an extra asset. We hope to return to his cabin again. Thank you for a wonderful week.

GREAT LITTLE COTTAGE, VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED.

  • 5 of 5

I FOUND THIS RENTAL ON VRBO, IT WAS GREAT FOR MY FAMILY AND OUR DOGS, I HAD TO FIND A RENTAL THAT HAD A FENCED YARD DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE HAVE BEAGLES. THE YARD WAS GREAT IT WAS FENCED ON ROUGHLY 2/ 3 AROUND THE HOUSE WITH THE FENCING STARTING ON THE ONE SIDE OF THE HOUSE WHERE THE PATIO AREA IS GOING AROUND BACK AND ENDING UP AT THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE WITH THE FENCING ATTACHING UP TO THE FRONT DECK. THE HOUSE WAS VERY CLEAN , NO CARPET WHICH WAS FANTASTIC AND WELL MAINTAINED. THE FENCED AREA IS LARGER THAN SHOWN IN THE PICS. WILL RENT THIS AGAIN NEXT YEAR. TIM THE OWNER WAS VERY NICE AND HE HAS 2 DOGS , ONE OF THEM WAS A LEMON BEAGLE.

Mansard Cottage at Havens at the Ridge

  • 5 of 5

The Mansard cottage was exactly what our family was looking for! It delivered in any every way. We needed a fenced in property to bring our dogs with us on vacation and the yard was very large and worked out great! The property is in a nice quiet area that lets you escape from the congestion and noise that you deal with all day in Pigeon Forge. It was only about 10 minutes to Dollywood which allowed us to come back to the property and let the dogs out and then go back out at night to enjoy more of the activities in town. When we come back to Pigeon Forge for vacation I will definitely reach out to Tim again. Tim is on site for any issues that arise and hos response time is extremely quick!

Very nice, quiet retreat from the hubbub of Pigeon Forge parkway.

  • 4 of 5

CLOSE (!) to Pigeon Forge parkway, but nestled in a quiet mountain valley with no view of any monstrous condo-resort. Very pet friendly with a 4'chain link fence around 60% of the house. Amenities are adequate, appliances work (!), satellite TV with very large screen, Wi-Fi, very comfy mattresses, etc. Just a comfortable, peaceful retreat. The owner, Tim, is very polite, helpful, and non-intrusive, and his two dogs, Trixie and Tesla, are worth getting to know. (Oh, a 4wd is not necessary.) If we're able to schedule THAT house again, my wife and I will definitely be back. Tom Williams

Wonderful retreat

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay here and wished we could have extended it for the rest of the week but it was already booked.

I don't like staying in the cabins where they overdo the woodsy theme and chunky furniture so I was happy to have found this house.

We crate our dog and there was still plenty of room with the crate up in the living room and the bedroom. The house is very nicely done and the furniture is comfy. There are plenty of cookware, utensils, dishes, and silverware if you're not into eating out your whole stay. There's also a claw foot tub for soaking in one of the bathrooms, don't worry though you still have your standard tub/shower combo in the other. There's also a full size washer and dryer which was nice to have. The house was very clean and well kept, the pics don't really do it justice.

The fenced yard was the better than we had expected. I was a little worried that it was just the area shown in the pics, but there is a larger section from the back to the front with a gate from the patio and one from the porch.

The best part is the location of the house, we never had to even get on the parkway to get there. I liked the fact that we could come out to the parkway from a road with a red light. We were close enough to Dollywood that there really wasn't much traffic to deal with getting there. When you sit outside the house you hear the birds instead of traffic, it's so peaceful!

Tim was very polite and helpful and I highly recommend that you contact him to rent this beautiful house for your next vacation to the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area. We were so happy with the rental that we've shared the link for the it with our family and friends.
