About Tim Kresica

As a lifelong business manager and executive, Tim Kres has achieved and enjoyed success within the building products industry. As a native son of Chicago, IL, his education and career path eventually led him to opportunities in both Florida and North Carolina. In 2014, the majesty of the Great Smoky Mountains beckoned him to Tennessee where he now lives and works as Resident Manager of Havens on the Ridge in Pigeon Forge.

Tim has always founded his work ethic on a dedication to rendering first-class products and services as well as fulfilling customer needs in an uplifting, positive way. With every undertaking and objective, he applies his belief that details are important. Havens on the Ridge reflect and confirm this belief.

Personally, Tim enjoys amateur photography….engages the great outdoors…..and embraces faith-based worship.

Why Tim Kresica chose Tennessee

Eastern Tennessee's abundant beauty, tempo, and sense of community are enjoyable throughout four distinct seasons. Prompted by a lifelong affection for the Great Smoky Mountains, my search for solace led to a unique opportunity for developing an existing property into a mountain retreat for adults desiring tranquil and serene respite on a year-round basis. Havens on the Ridge offers both while simultaneously being ideally located a short distance from the towering majesty of nature's exploration as well as the entertainment and adventures of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

The property was originally owned by the Blackburn family as their primary residence and boasts a "gathering" cottage for special occasions. Their family tree includes Michael Blackburn who achieved notoriety as the World's Greatest Sharpshooter. It's history sparked a special interest within me, and each day I'm thankful to now call Havens on the Ridge my home as caretaker.

What makes this cottage unique

Beyond the tranquility, privacy, and comfort of Havens on the Ridge, we strive to ensure a "home-away-from-home" getaway. An onsite manager will welcome you and be immediately available for issues or needs that might arise during your stay. Complimentary "goody" bags await guests in each cottage; and, if desired, we will happily pre-stock your cabin with items of your choosing such as soft drinks, bottled water, and snacks (small service fee).

The cottage was a delight! The cottage was tastefully decorated and very clean.

We did have a terrible electrical storm which knocked out the electricity and water the second night of our stay. We had to leave the next morning as we had no water and two children with us. The owner was busy cutting up a large tree across the drive up to the houses. He was very helpful! We would stay again!!!

Great Cabin 5 Stars

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough great things about Havens on the Ridge, Mansard House. The cabin with a fenced in yard was absolutely great as my wife and I travelled with our sheltie and he had the run of the yard. The cabin itself had all that you could ask for, 50 inch tv with satellite, internet access, air conditioning as we had a week of 80 degree temperatures. Washer and dryer, and unlike many rentals, Tim the owner provides everything, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, laundry supplies, linens there are plenty of towels, everything is on site. Oh, by the way there is no dishwasher, but it was not missed.

I mentioned Tim, great on site, have a problem call him, we didn't need to, but he takes pride in his cabins and property.

The cabin is off the parkway, first time getting there you traverse one lane road, but after the first time driving it you forget about it and go about your day seeing Pigeon Forge (10 minutes to Dollywood), Gatlinburg and the National Park ( 20 minutes).

My wife and I were sorry to leave, sitting on the deck in the mornings, and evenings so peaceful, so close to the activities but away from it all.

Thanks Tim for a beautiful week, if we are in area again we shall return. 5 Stars

Cabin in the woods for Christmas

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was great. It was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, was so quiet and peaceful. Spending Christmas in the cabin was wonderful. It is close to so many things, but you would never know it, because it was so peaceful. TIm was very kind and helpful. The fenced in yard, was fantastic. Sitting out of the deck, listening to the birds, was such a great change from living in the city. If you are looking for a quiet, clean, beautiful place to stay, I highly recommend this cabin. We will definitely be back.
