About Tim Kresica

I achieved and enjoyed success within the building products industry for many years. Born and raised in Chicago, my education and career path eventually led to opportunities in both Florida and North Carolina. In 2014, the majesty of the Great Smoky Mountains beckoned me to Tennessee where I now live and work as Resident Manager of Havens on the Ridge in Pigeon Forge.

My work ethic has always been on a dedication to rendering first-class products and services as well as fulfilling customer needs in an uplifting, positive way. With every undertaking and objective, I apply my belief that attention to details is important. Havens on the Ridge reflect and confirm this belief.

Personally, Tim enjoys amateur photography….engages the great outdoors…..and embraces faith-based worship.

Why Tim Kresica chose Tennessee

Eastern Tennessee's beauty, tempo, and sense of community are enjoyable throughout four distinct seasons. Prompted by a lifelong affection for the Great Smoky Mountains, my real estate search led to a unique opportunity for developing an existing property into a mountain retreat for adults desiring tranquil, serene respite on a year-round basis. Havens on the Ridge is ideally located a short distance from nature's towering majesty as well as the entertainment and adventures of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.

The property was originally owned by The Blackburn Family whose family tree includes Michael Blackburn who achieved notoriety as the World's Greatest Sharpshooter. It's history sparked a special interest within me, and each day I'm thankful to now call Havens on the Ridge my home.

What makes this cottage unique

Beyond the tranquility, privacy, and comfort of Havens on the Ridge, we strive to provide a "home-away-from-home" getaway that boasts an "away from it all" feeling at the same time. Having a Resident Manager onsite ensures any need or issue that might arise during your stay will be immediately addressed. "Goody Bags" await guests in each cottage; and, if desired, we will happily pre-stock your cabin with items of your choosing such as soft drinks, bottled water, and snacks (small service fee applies).

Great Cottage, Great Time, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

What more can I say than Great. The cottage was clean, well equipped. Our 11 year old dog loved the fenced in yard. The cottage is back off the road so sitting on the deck was very quiet and enjoyable. The roads leading to the cottage are a little narrow in places, you just have to take your time. We only used Caney Creek to go to Gatlinburg otherwise we found the shortcut to Pigeon Forge which is shorter and the roads are two lane roads. Tim was great to work with. We seen 12 bears on our trip, none around the cottage though. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future. Thanks.

Clean, well kept and conveniently located

  • 5 of 5

The property was very nice and perfect for our dogs to run in the fenced in yard. The cottage was clean and well maintained. The property manager, Tim, was extremely kind and very easy to work with.

Best it could be

  • 5 of 5

The Mansard house was simply amazing. The views, the house layout, the amenities, and ultimately Tim's hospitality was second to none. These wasn't one thing I could realistically say could have been better. In our time of need from hurricane Irma, we turned out evacuation into a vacation and a huge part of that was this amazing home. 10/10 me and my family will be returning sometime in the future.

Perfect Dog-Lovers Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cottage for 3 nights. (4 adults). The drive up to the cottage was on long, narrow, windy roads but the local roads and the property road were all well-kept. The cottage itself is adorable and unique with small stained glass windows here and there. The furnishings and TVs are modern and in excellent condition. The owner thought of everything from detergent for the washer, hair dryers for each bathroom, even a box of towels just for the dogs. Though the bedroom in the loft did not have a door, it was extremely private and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. We brought our 2 small dogs and they loved having the run of the fenced-in yard and being on the closed-in deck with the family. The location was perfect as we easily could get to Pigeon Forge, downtown Gatlinburg , and the Smoky Mountain Park. The negative aspect of our stay was that a few trails we wanted to hike were closed due to fire damage. We did the following and recommend the same. We ate at Loco Burro, played the best miniature golf at Hillbilly Golf, went white water rafting about an hour away with 5 Rivers, hiked up to Clingmans Dome, drove through Cades Cove but stopped to hike the Abrams Falls trail where we met a young black bear less than 30 feet away. We had a BBQ dinner in Pigeon Forge, Bennett's Pit BBQ, yum! To top it off, we met Tim, the owner who told us some amazing historical facts about the property and the cabins on it. It is obvious he works extremely hard to make sure everything is perfect for guests, valuing the vacationer's experience. We would highly recommend staying here especially if you have pets. Thank you, Tim, for doing so much to make this cottage so welcoming for us and our canine babies.
